I happen to use Meg's pads and have about 5 polishing and 3 finishing for my personal use. If you are doing other peoples vehicles, you might want to consider a cutting pad or two. I don't use one and I'm not too sure how good they work with the PC.
IMO, you will need more polishing pads than anything else.
I apply product with the PC, but remove product by hand.

having a few polishing pads is a good idea or you find yourself washing out the pads every time you use a different product on the polishing pad.
