Hey all-
This is my first post and all I can say is wow. What an amazing forum that helped make my OCD even worse.
I'm pretty new to the detailing scene and have been doing all of my work by hand. I have a White 2007 VW GTI (Daily Driver) and I also detail my fiance's black BMW Z4 (Summer Car). The only products that I've used so far are mostly Meguiar's products and I'm looking to upgrade. I also want to buy a PC. I went on autogeek and found a couple kits that seem like they would be a good fit for a beginner who just wants to remove light swirls, polish and protect. Here's the links:

I just need a push into the right direction on which products are best to begin with.
If neither of these kits are working please let me know what I should buy. And one more question, is there a difference between a swirl removing detail and a shine and protect detail?
