PC & Klasse, still hazy & streaky

So, maybe I still don't have it right. Still afraid of my PC. I used my PC with Klasse AIO on 4 speed on my hood & trunk this weekend. Applied Klasse by hand to the sides. The car (Jet Black 2006 BMW 330cic) looked great until I got it in the direct sun, then it appeared streaky & blotchy, like I did not get all the product off. Do I need to go back and rub the product off?

I have ordered Poorboy's EX-P and Natty's Blue, which I am hoping to apply over Klasse AIO this weekend. Should I do something before applying these products?

BTW, I have order Purple Haze, DoDo Juice from the UK, which will be the next test. But, not until I have this figured out.

Per the instructions, Klasse AIO should be applied with a damp applicator and removed before it dries.
Doing it that way by hand or by PC never gave me a hazy or streaky finish.

FWIW, I may have had the "old" version of the KAIO if there actually is such a thing. I have read lots of comments about a "new" VOC compliant reformulation, but I have never actually read where those comments were based on facts rather than conjecture.

Addendum: Not what you might want to hear, but are you sure the haze and streaks are because of the KAIO? Those are the classic indications of a clearcoat problem. Kind of looks like plastic wrap that isn't stuck down completely.

Its been my impression that Klasse is a hand application or is best applied that way...I would use some QD Spray on the areas that you are talking about..Did you have to same issue with the hand application?

The PB stuff that you have ordered is going to be a lot easier to work with trust me on that...One last thing...the BMW JB paint is the hardest paint that I have ever detailed to get right...I've had two in this color...so don't beat yourself up on the imperfections....remember that QD is your friend with BMW JB

Thanks for the vote of confidence. If I would have ordered this car new, it would have been Black Sapphire Metallic or Monaco Blue Metallic, but JB it is.

I used a PC on the hood & trunk and did the sides by hand. The hood & trunk look fine, although I must admit I can't get the same look as I get on the sides with direct sunlight on it. I have Sonus QD and Mequiars QD, is there something better?

You will need to do the sides to get the same results the top part but if you are OK for now leave it...as for what you have for QD use that up to start...I like PB S&G and FK1 anti static QD the later of the two is real good on JB....use what you have to start...the FK1 is by finish kare pink in color and killer QD...but that's my .02

You can fix the splotchiness with reapplying a small amount of AIO with the DA working it in well and wiping it off section at a time. You can actually work the AIO until its practically gone with the DA.

I'm guessing you probably used too much and didn't work it in well enough.

I checked the Acronym List and don't see what DA is. Sorry, can you describe?

I've used AIO with a pc and white polishing pad & has worked out well on black paint. I agree that maybe too much product was used & not worked in long enough and letting it dry didn't help. Do a section at a time & wipe off. The only product I let dry is wax. Hope all works out.

So are you guys suggesting I try again with the PC and AIO, or are you suggesting that I try to wipe it off with a QD and then put PB EX-L on it?

Darn, I thought I was so close to completing my project. I put my second coat of PB EX-L on last night, and planned to finish up tonight with Natty's Blue Wax. But, the weatherman was wrong, and it rained this morning. So, do I have to start all over again before I can apply Natty's or can I simply wash the car and apply Natty's. I am so bummed, as I washed, clayed, washed, polished AIO, 2 coats of EX-L. then rain.

Wash it or use Poorboy's S&W and go with the Natty's.
