What speed should i be using the Menzerna on my PC 7424.I know it would be even better with a rotary but i only have the PC at the moment.Im using the Edge DA pads--what pad would be best suited to the Menzerna considering my paint has little or no spider ebbing or hazing etc..

Try a finnishing pad use speed 4 to spread it around then crank it up to speed 5-5.5. Work it till it almost dissappears using overlapping passes slowly. You do not need to mist the pad, and use very little Mernenze once the pad is primed or dusting will become an issue.

Don't you think autopia is more than capable of helping him out?

I spread the product around on speed 3, and then once adequately spred, I crank the speed up to 6 and make a few passes. I use a finishing pad when I do this.

Im fine using the PC7424 but just wanted to know what pad combo others are using with Menzerna and what speeds. Im going to start off with a polishing pad to see how i get on..I have been using Poorboys for a year or 2 and have just recently decided to find other combo`s which are good( love the Vanilla Mouse,EX-P and Natty`s combo).I also have the GEPC and P21S which i find superb. Decided to try the Menzerna after hearing some really good reports.I have Natty`s original to try over the top or should i try the P21S( I really like this over the GEPC just now )..Whats your thoughts.

theres a pad kit specifically for menzerna that i use that is awesome. go to that site and you can find out!

Neothin. nothing wrong with autopia! Marky wanted to know about speed and pads so instead of telling him in detail here i told him about properautocare.com. have you been to thaat site!

*I* would use a *polishing* pad on the PC as opposed to a finishing pad as it just doesn't give enough bite. If you were using a rotary then the finishing pad would be ideal.

Polishing pad it is then.So what to use as a LSP---Shall it be P21S or Natty`s original???Your thoughts. The car is a 1995 Nissan Skyline R33 GTR

Chemical Guys has a new sealant coming out that seems to keep the same bright shine that you get after polishing with 85RD. I only got a small sample but I understand that it's coming out in the next week or so.

I actually plan on revisiting my PO85RD this spring. This time I plan on using the LC Blue Finessing thanks to Scottabir for the recommendation. It seems my paint is so soft that it was getting micromarring with PO85RD and a polishing pad with the PC.

John, how about this? I'll revisit it for you on Monday. It works for me with a rotary and a finishing pad. I have used FPII with the PC and polishing pad but not the 85RD. I opened my mouth so I'll take it on. That cool?

I'd like to hear how it works out for you. Us NBP owners need to update each other when we find a nice combo.

btw what kind of finishing pad would you be using? I didn't realize theres two different kinds made by Lake Country. The Blue finessing pad the softest.

OK, I just came back in from testing. There's a large fire about 40 miles east of here and the smoke was making it's way toward my home when I started so I did do this rather quickly and didn't take pictures.

I tried 85RD with Meguiar's Polishing pad on a moderately swirled surface on my car(yes the front bumper is still a work in progress as it seems to scratch easier than any other part of the car) and it did a very good job removing all but the few deeper "rings" that were present. I tried the drivers side of the front bumper with the 85RD and Meguiar's finishing pad and there was little removal of swirls even after two passes. If nothing else, this reminded me just how much I hate polishing with the PC!

After stopping that itching feeling in my hands, I took out the Cyclo and polishing pads and worked the 85RD into both of the previously polished areas and all swirling was removed in one application. Using the Cyclo right after the PC almost made me want to pitch the PC in the trash!

I did a little playing around with both 85RD and 106FF and found that both polishes seem to dust with the PC and Cyclo but I get very little to none when used by rotary. I still stick by my recommendation to use the Menzerna finishing polishes with a polishing pad on the PC.
