Pc 7424

Morning guys. I have been reading alot of posts on here and i've been contemplating whether or not to get a PC 7424. I have no experience with PC 7424. My car is black 05 model. No swirls or defects, just a couple of rock chips on the drivers side fender. My question would be do i really need one? I just want a good deep shimmering look to my car. I'm using souveran now. All replies greatly appreciated.

If you have not swirls/defects then the only thing you would be using it for would be to apply/take off your product. If that's the case, it's up to you to decide how much work it is to put on your product by hand and if it's worth spending $150 or more on the PC and pads and such. Eventually, you're going to have use some sort of paint cleaner and swirl remover so that will entail multiple steps, so the PC might save you time and effort in that case.

I just bought and used the PC for the first time and it does save "elbow grease." I'm still getting used to it so it still feels awkward to me. I'm sure the more I use it, the more natural it'll feel. I don't regret my purchase!!!

Cooter, its a wonderful and very helpful tool to have around. I feel its worth every dollar spent.

hooked. I have Pinnacle paint cleansing lotion, WG sealant, and Souveran. I would like to take up some detailing around here, but it would mainly be used for my car and a couple of buds. sQuashed. Thanks for the words of encouragement. We have a Lowe's here and i can get that PC7336 for $109.

Thanks alot for the replies. Have a good mornin!

I got my PC to take care of swirl marks, etc on my 5 year old black car, and it's great for that, of course, but my car, which is a convertible, also has an almost-white leather interior.

So I also bought a brush designed to be used on leather with the PC, and it's the only thing I have tried so far that really gets all the surface dirt off the leather, and with no "work" on my part. The leather is now back to its original color. If you have leather interior, (convertible or not) you might also want to look into this inexpensive accessory.

I just picked one up...one of the better purchases I have made. A couple of years ago(in 2003) I had bought a new car and now looking back I wish I had bought one right after I got the new car. Unless you are using the softest washing and drying accessories out there, you WILL get some light swirls etc and thats when the PC will really come in handy. Gentle pads and a gentle polish will be very delicate on your paint yet keep it as flawless as possible. I am still applying my final(Zaino) by hand though....dont think I will ever use the PC for that.

Where do you get such a pad?

I'm gonna go t Lowe's tonight and see if they have one. I think i'll go to work and try it on our older ambulance when i get my pads in. I've got leather interior but its black. I know it will get dirty but i bet it would atleast conceal it a lil better. Thanks for the replies.

How do you KNOW you don't have swirls? When there are no clouds and the sun is very direct right above the car... look all over every panel where you are actually looking at the reflection of the sun in the paint - are there hairline marks that radiate outward from the sun as if outlining lots of random polygons all centering around the sun>
