PC 7424 = swirls?

I was just watching a video on using the PC 7424, and it kinda made me wonder: is it possible (without really trying, of course) to swirl or scratch the paint with an orbital like this? Like, I think he started w/ a speed of two and then went up to buff it out completely. How is that on the paint? And is it really (near) impossible to get the same results by hand?

If I were to get one before I do all the stuff that I've been planning, it would go something like: wash > clay > SMR w/ PC > AIO w/ PC > SG w/ PC > P21S, right?

And how do PC's compare to the orbitals that you can get at Autozone and wherever else that are sometimes half the price?

I recently purchased a PC 7424 and I could not be happier. I went through the Zaino process with the orbital without any swirl marks. In fact I was concentrating one on spot with the Z-5 and the 7424 for about five minutes without leaving any marks. You might get the same results by hand but the PC 7424 will be 3x's faster.

The PC has so many features like speed control and velcro bonnents that machines that you can buy elsewhere pail in comparison. I owned a Waxmaster and it is a toy compared to the PC 7424.

PC is probably the safest polisher you can get on the market today. Machine itself won't cause swirls and scratches as long as used properly. What causes scratches and swirls are dirt particles trapped in polishing pad, so as long as you keep your pads clean you should be safe.

PC is mostly used during polishing and swirl removal and is very effective when used with products like 3M Finesse-It II and SMR. These products use diminishing abrasives - as you work them abrasive particles get smaller and smaller and turn into very fine polish. If you don't work them long enough they are not effective and you end up with haze. This is the reason I think you can't get the same results by hand - you simply don't have the power to work them in.

Stay away from cheap orbitals, they are just the waste of money.

What makes PC stand out is strong motor - 3.7 Amp, variable speed of 2500-6000 orbits per minute, weight of around 6lbs and ability to change pads quickly with optional velcro plate.

SMR and AIO are great to use with PC but with SG you will probably waste too much product and it's quicker by hand.
