neither the 7424 or the 7336 comes with a backing plate. The 7424 comes with a pad that screws in where the backing plate would go. You have to buy your own backing plate and pads for either version.

You'll need a back plate and pads as mentioned. There is a polish pad that comes with the PC, so you'll have something in the case that you can't wait to use it. :naughty

Just a suggestion...Look at the Edge 2000 pads (PAC sells them, that's where I bought mine) --- If you buy the adapter, you don't need a backing plate...

It's actually Lake Country. You can get them at www.properautocare.com. Dwayne at Premium Auto Care also sells the 7.5 inch version, but I don't think he sells the 6 inch version. You can always ask him. :dunno
Just picked up my 7336 last night at Lowes...
I had a gift card for $50 and was pondering getting one this year.
Been ready up on what pads I would need, how to use a PC, etc...
I was thinking I'd wait till Fathers day and see if the wife would go out and buy it for me...
Then yesterday we get a gift card in the mail for another $10 bucks off @
Lowes. Holy cow.....My wife even mentioned I'd like what we got in the mail today.
Ka Ching... Off I went to Lowes to pick up my 7336.
$60 off with the gift cards made that a NO Brainer.....
Now if I can just figure out which pads to buy...
Edge, LC, or Meguars.... That Edge video was cool.
I'm thinking a med cut and a light cut would be a good start.
Something that will work with FCRC, SSR2.5, SWR, and SSR1.
Was it Duane that had a starter kit of LC pads ?
I thought at one time someone had a kit/bundle you could purchase for your PC?
