Just dug out my old PC 7336 this evening and cleaned it up. Does this model have enough power to work HD Polish the way it needs? I know there are lot's better units out there, just looking to get started for now.

Thanks for the reply. In that case it looks like I'll be making a few purchases soon polish/pad wise. I remember 10 years ago, my PC "got the job done well" but I also remember cursing it for being gentle at times.

Don't know about HD Polish but I used my 7336 (12-yrs old), Scholl's S3 Gold and a LC 6" MF pad on some medium cc scratches (1500-1800 grit) and it worked very well, S3 removes most/all scr in 90 seconds then keeps on polishing for another 90 seconds before its done. The MF pad is better than any aggressive foam pad I've used. Combine an aggressive polish and the right pad on the PC and you should remove any scratch except for the really deep ones.

I'm always amazed when people can do significant correction via the old-model PCs, at least in a timely manner.

I have two, and I've used them enough that both have been rebuilt, one of them twice.  No matter what I used (and I did best with 4" pads, or 3" MF ones), it took *FOREVER* to remove significant marring, and I don't mean just an hour or so per panel.

I guess my primary worry is if it will go fast enough to get the gloss I want for the end result. I used to love the PC back in the day, and I know it can do really well. I just recall some difficulties I had a long time ago with black paint on my old Intrepid. It would leave a little bit haziness. Might have been due to my polish/pad combo however.

Neo62381- The HD stuff is *SO* user-friendly compared to most anything else!  I was utterly astounded when I finally tried it (put it off for ages because, well, hey..."I've used a zillion polishes") and I sure didn't expect to be wowed.
