PB spray&wipe is amazing.

Even though S & W is a waterless wash, I prefer to use it as my cleaning QD. Since I started using S & W, I never use a regular QD like S & G on a vehicle that has dust or light dirt on it... I use the S & W, and then, when the paint is perfectly clean, I use the regular QD to add some "POP".

I also use S & W to wipe down the engine compartment after every car wash... then mist on a little Natural Look, and the engine bay always looks "spiffy"!

my car never really gets that dirty to begin with and i use s&w as my qd. should i not be doing this? should i use s&w first and then s&g? if so i'll have to order some. is there a major difference in the two products?

You are going about it correct, What DCT is trying to say is that he will use S&W always first to make sure the car is clean before adding a Gloss enhancing QD like S&G.. seperating the two steps ensures that you are not adding dirt to your shine and you will also get a clearer and glossier finish;)

so what is the difference between S&G and S&W? i love S&G but i havent used S&W. what are the benefits of each one and can i just use either or?

S&W is a waterless wash, whereas the S&G is a QD with some light cleaning abilities. Both are great products and work very well when used together.

Spray and Wipe will clean the finish and leave you back to where you were before the finish was dirty.
It also has more lubrication and cleaning ability.
Spray & Gloss should be used on a pretty clean finish with most dust, finger prints, water spots or after washing to enhance the shine add a slight bit of protection and give the finish a slicker feel. :)

Your fine.

To simplify it, ideally, you should have 3 bottles of QD...

1. Spray & Wipe on a dusty or dirty vehicle.

2. A 50/50 mix of Spray & Wipe and S & G as you are drying the vehicle.

3. Straight S & G on a clean vehicle to add "POP".

Sometimes you don't need to use the straight S & G if you have just washed and dried the vehicle using the mix.

thanks for clearing that up for me. like i said my car never gets that dirty, a little lite dust, which i always clean off with my cali. duster before i s&w.

Why not just skip the Cali Duster, and go right to the S & W.

Not a real big fan of the Cali Duster. The S & W will lubricate as it cleans off the dust... the Duster won't.

Just my opinion.

which i always clean off with my cali. duster before i s&w.

 no need to use that cali. duster just use s&w with a clean mf and it is much much safer than a cali. duster its 10x the lubricicity of water and 2x the lubricicity of soap. The cali duster will scratch the finish of the car :(.

well i guess i need to order a gallon of S&W too! i just ordered a gallon of S&G. i was using S&G as if it were S&W! but now that i got things striaght time to order some S&W.

Way back when, I remember Steve suggested a mixture of the two products that was supposed to give pretty good results. Can you refresh our memory Steve?

I think a lot of people with very light dirt or dust like a 60/40 or 70/30 Spray and Wipe / Spray & Gloss mixture;) If you want to be super safe I would seperate the procedures as DCT has posted and do the S&W first then either do a mixture of just S&G :)

tried to order a gallon of s&w but they were out of stock. went to autogeek they were out also. picked up a gallon of dg fc&s instead, i've heard good things about it too. when i run out i'll try s&w. any thoughts on fc&s? much difference in the two products?

The FC&S, I haven't used, but to me, they seem like they would be two different products.
The S&W can be used on some pretty dirty vehicles. The FC&S seems closer to a QD than a waterless wash.

I'm sorry for reviving this thread ,I almost finished a 32oz bottle of spray&wipe in 8-9 use ,near the end I mixed it with some QD and that got me thinking ,would it be better for us if the S&W was concentrated and we could order lets say a 32oz at a higher price but dilute it as needed?:)
Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure I asked Steve about just that and I'm also pretty sure he had a reason why it wouldn't work properly if it was done that way.

Good idea but Steve has said that there are too many ingredients to do this effectively:

Just buy the 5 gallon pail ... you won't regret it :dnaughty (especially the price )
