Pakring Garage Drippings/Calcified Water

I must have parked at a bad spot in a parking garage during one of the snow storms we had and because my suppose-to-be black car was pure white, I didn't notice the mess it made on my car. I've had this happen before with my previous car, but not like this. The calcified water spots are so hard and thick that I have to scrape them with my finger nails to get them off, which is not ideal when I got a bunch.

Any advice as to how to remove them without rubbing away for hours and thus affecting the adjacent paint?

In addition to the above, you can also try white vinegar, diluted 1:1. Just be careful not to let it dwell for too long / let it dry on the paint.

pb bug squash does a nice job of loosening up the crud . from there you can see if there is any residual water spot that needs removal.
