I bought a center console for my celica that some one tried to paint. I was going to repaint it put wanted to strip the existing paint from the plastic console. I heard that some of the stronger paint strippers will melt the plastic. Is there any paint strippers that will not eat the plastic? I have seen serveral different kinds at Autozone, some for urethane bumpers and some that only strip clear coat. Will any of those work?
