Gidday,

Just got back from Australia for my bro's wedding, so i've been off this site for a little while. Lot's of beer and plenty of killer surf!!! :rockon Anyways I'm back to work :D I've got to do a quote on some overspray on a porsche  Can't give much on the details eg; light, medium or heavy but im hoping light. I think it's on the tail end. I guess i can give anyone more details soon. Just wondering what would be a starter to charge for something like this :help:

cheers

Minimum overspray removal charge -- $350. I've had some jobs run in excess of $1000. For me though, it really boils down to: what type of contaminate, how long it's been there, what condition the paint is under the the damaging product, and will I be direct billing an insurance company or an individual...

more importantly though, for me, is whether or not I like the customer and/or their vehicle and if I really want to mess with it.

It's a hefty job. I had medium to heavy overspray to take off my ride and it was a pain.

Make sure that you see this car before talking about any price...as stated depending on how long its been on there, type of paint..can all play in how long its going to take you to get off

Thanks everyone for ya help! so i go a check the job out today and it's a porsche turbo. Paint bonded wet from about 4-5ft, white acrylic and it's been there about a week and a half. It is mainly concentrated on the rear spoiler and air fins. Probably light/med spray. furthermore, patchy spots along the entire left hand side. What sux is that it's a metalic blue/purple and the colour is dicontinued. Any blemish sticks out like dogs balls. Any ideas?

The clay should take care of that you might want to have some mineral spirits on hand just in case...as for the blemish sticks that you are talking about is that touch up paint?
