What are your favorite paint colors ?? I really like porsche guards red
Ferrari rosso red and b.r.g. Any thoughts ??

Yes TOGWT there is other colors beside brg. Speaking of brg did you read Peter Egans aritcle in Roar & track?? If not he was looking to paint his lotus
he was restoring and needed to find the perfect brg shade. Turns out mazda
makes the same shade of brg that was made in the 60s Very intersting. that
is what he choose.

Reflective Value

[: a measurement commonly used in interior decorating and design, which expresses the percentage of light that is reflected from a surface]

The reflective value (RV) of a colour indicates how much light and heat is reflected back from the colour surface. Light reflectance value (RV) is a numerical rating assigned by paint manufacturers to each colour they make. This number is a scientifically determined assessment of the amount light and heat that colour will reflect on a scale of 0 to 100. Zero assumed to be an absolute black and 100% being an assumed perfectly reflective white. An absolute black or perfectly reflecting white do not exist in our everyday terms.

The average blackest black has a light reflection value (LRV ) of approximately 5% and the whitest white is approximately 85%. Some yellows can measure up into the 80's or 90's as well. All colours fit in between these two extremes. A colour with an LRV of 50 will reflect 50% of the light that falls on it, and one with an LRV of 23 will reflect 23% of the light, and so on.

Think of a reflective value as a numerical version of a grey value scale for colours, roughly like this: Colour - Reflective Value
Pure White - 100, White -95, Light - 80, Low Light - 65, Medium - 50, High Dark - 35, Dark ? 20

Wow! this one is too "car" sensitive for me. Some cars should be in a particular color. What color is a Ferrari? What color is an E-Type Jag? ...etc...etc

jk

My least favorite is any black vehicle when it arrives for a detail. My favorite is any black vehicle after I am done putting 20 hours of polishing into. :out::)
