Paint Chip inside wheel well

Hi-

I have a small paint chip inside my wheel wheel that looks like it came from a rock. It is right on the outside edge, so it is kind of in a tricky spot. It looks like the paint cracked slightly around the chip and kind of flakes up a little. Can I just saturate the area in some matching touch up paint and then after it dries apply some touch up clear top coat paint over it? Will this keep it from cracking or the paint from flaking off in the future?

Yeah, that oughta work fine. But I'd use some rust converter for the primer if it's down to bare metal.

Don't overdo that "saturation" ;) Just fill the chip and any related cracks.
