Pad cleaning

I have the edge 2000 pads coming and I am wondering how you guys in the world of autopia clean your pads. I am sorry if the constant questions is getting on everyone's nerves but I am just getting into the machine detailing and I want to make sure that I do everything right and none of my crew use machines. They are all waiting to see how it turns out for me. Thanks in adavnce for any responces to this.

Perhaps something like snappy clean or DP Pad cleaner from Autogeek. The stuff I use looks like the same stuff as DP, orange granules citrus based. Works a little better than Dawn. Doesnt foam up.

Cleans up polish and wax from the pad (maybe more suitable for oil based products) , not toog good with sealants like M21 or NXT

I just use some dishwashing liquid like dawn or palmolive to remove polish residue. I generally let the pads soak in hot water with a couple of squirts of dawn. Come back in an hour and just start massageing the pads until all the polish or compound is gone from the surface of your pads. After that just rinse until no more soap foam is coming from your pads and then air dry.

I'm pretty much guilty of doing everything that Edge says not to. I leave them to soak in a bucket of Snappy Clean for hours. Rinse them out in the sink, then either spin them at 2K rpm for a few minutes, or throw them in the clothes dryer on low heat.
