this morning on the xterra. no drama. 5200 miles. and 2nd oil change done along with first tire rotation. the first year you have 4 free oil changes and 2 tire rotations. so far i have nothing but good things to say about the nissan xterra. love it. tuesday nite we had a good mix of freezing rain/snow/sleet. on the drive home in the am from work, nobody was doing over 40mph on the hi-way and saw plenty of flashers on. the xterra never slid or missed a beat. :bigups
 
I really like my 01 Pathfinder. One question is, the Pathy has "all mode" 4wd. This is where it senses wheel slip and engages the front wheels. From what I understand, with the Xterra your either in 4wd or not. Is this correct? The Pathy also has regular 4 high and low, but I like the "all mode" feature, as you don't have to worry about going into 2wd on dry ground.
