So, if any of you have a special event coming up, and are looking for a unique trophy design....here`s one that a friend of mine built for one of the Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek events. It`s half of an actual sprint car tire (cleaned and dressed obviously), with a die cast model of a sprint car inside......it was presented to the winner (Anthony Macri) at the 7/1 event at Port Royal Speedway. His company is called Smoking Gun Fabrications....PM me for his business number.

Dude....if you`ve not been there to see dirt track racing, you`re missing out big time!!!! Great racing, great fans and great folks running the track. It is my third time there and I love it. If I`d known, I definitely would have reached out to you to join us. I`m heading back Columbus Day weekend for a race called the Tuscarora 50. It`s so good there I`m willing to make the 4+ hour trek, when I have two dirt tracks within an hour of my house in NJ. Good little breakfast place in town, Katrinas, was closed due to COVID....that was the only bummer of the trip.

Yeah the 50 is a great race! The track has definitely improved since I was a kid. I have been there for a few years actually. Once I got sober 3 years ago it became one of the "people, places, and things" I knew that couldn`t be in my life at the time.

That being said my two young boys want to go sometime. Probably not this year though with Covid, but we will see

Totally understand. The crowd seemed equally split between the stands and the infield. They replaced the old tunnel, which felt like walking through a sewer, with a new handicapped accessible tunnel....and did a stellar job. The concessions and the bathrooms in the infield are brand new too. There is a section, just before the flag stand, which is a family, no alcohol section as well. We got pit passes for Saturday, and the pit grandstands have an amazing view. If you think you might be going to the 50, shoot me a PM. Even though my buddies are drinkers, I`m not....so I`ve no issue with sitting in the family section. It would be great to meet a fellow Autopian.
