Yeah, it does. Not necessarilly with the first wash, but it's a lot stronger than car wash soap and it (and Griot's similar wheel cleaner) will strip the SG. Even does it when you dilute it with some water.
After this happened to me, I quit using wheel cleaners and filled a spray bottle with a sorta-strong mix of car wash shampoo. Works fine.
