P21S/S100 foam applicator

Hey Guys,

Has anyone ever located the source of the foam applicator that comes in each can of P21S or S100? I've tried a lot of applicators, but that is still my favorite. The size is just about perfect.

Is there anything similar out there? I have DavidB's foam applicator with the blue handle, which is about the closest thing I've found, but it's a little big.

Sorry if this has been discussed before; couldn't find it through the search engine.

I haven't used them yet, but I think from the pictures the Malm's applicators look similar... don't know if they actually are though. I agree that the s100 applicator is my favorite. I will probaby try out the malms this summer

i dontknow if it has been discussed before or not but id like to know as well. Cause the id like the nattys and pinnacle paste's to come with an applicator like that as well.

The foam reminds me of the packing foam you see in hard drive boxes as padding. I bet you could make your own from the foam in these computer parts boxes.

Going by the comments by the P21S rep, was the foam ever supposed to be an applicator, or was it just something to keep the wax steady during shipping?

I for one would take a load of them, they have to be cheap too, they just seem easier for me to hold onto. They also seem less likely to do damge than a lot of other apps to me

Last I heard they were originally used to hold the wax during shipping. would be great it the company would allow us to get a hold of them. After all how much P21S/S100 is sold due to this forum.....

Here are the Malm's ones, if they are indeed similar:

Every time I open up Autopia, I find someone pointing to a new site that offers a "new" line of products.... This is really great, from the standpoint of never having a static array of products to try. My problem is that there are not enough hours in a day nor vehicles to try all this stuff out on. I guess I will keep trying !:xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

I have e-mailed Autogeek to find out if the blue applicators are similar to the P21S ones and if they are suitable for use on paint.

Make sure to post back on what they say.

Don't have the e-mail on this computer, from from what I recall, he said the P21S applicator is a little softer. He recommended the Wolfgang applicator that has been talked about in a recent thread.
