P21S Paste Wax OR Klasse AIO

I'm torn between which of these two I should get.

I've recently run out of my wax, and would like your opinion on which of these I should purchase and why.

Thanks

Considering that they are such total opposites I can't see where the dilema is. P21S is a carnauba wax and AIO is a synthetic cleaner product with minor protective qualities. AIO is more of a cleaner and a base for SG than it is a standalone product that you should weigh a carnauba wax with. That is like deciding between Taco Bell and the Ford dealership. Totally different products.

It's always easy to spend someone else's money, but....why not use AIO as a cleaner/prep for your P21S?

I use that combination on my wife's GP with S100 substituted for the P21S.

Great results.

I'll have to agree. A replacement for AIO if you are going to use a paint cleanser and a carnauba (which is recommended) might be Pinnacle's Paint Cleaner (PPCL on here). I, personally, think it leaves a slicker finish than AIO.

(Plus I wanted to add another Audi Grill pic below Bill D's.)

You could always go the S100 SEC (shine enhancing cleanser) and S100 Paste Wax route.

I'll have to give a :xyxthumbs to Scottwax's suggestion. I used DACP, S100SEC, Meguiars #7 and S100 wax and was very pleased with the results. Besides, if you've seen this guys work, you wouldn't doubt what he suggests.:bow

hhmmm a whole lot of suggestions here.

The car doesn't have a bad swirl problem and the paint is in excellent condition. I wash the car weekly and use Mequires DS inbetween washings.

I'm just looking for something that is going to offer the me most protection for the longest amount of time (WINTER) and make the car look awsome.

Now, I'm guessing that most of your are driving dark colored cars. Does it make any difference if it's BRIGHT YELLOW (Think Canary Yellow or see my link http://members.cardomain.com/trblmkr )

I'm loving this info guys so keep it coming..:xyxthumbs

According to this site they sell the Perfect Shine Kit which tells you to use AIO followed by P21S . I have bought this kit but my CLK 500 isnt in yet so I havent tried it but others on the board have many compliments on the system.

Not to take anything away from SEC/S100, but I just gotta add one thing.

Scott would get excellent results with Turtle Wax. :)

If you want longest protection possible, then AIO and SG would be a great route to take. If you want to be a bit more frugal, you can try Megs. #20. If the car is in great shape without swirls, then AIO would be a good first step for just about anything. Then you can top all of these with S100 for a great shine.

Where would you get that from? I'd say its a pretty fair split on Autopia. Lots of silver and white cars here. I've got white and I was very happy with Klasse and P21S. Right now I'm using Platinum and P21S and am just as satisfied with it.

Me too. :up P21S/S100 makes an exceptionally good paint cleanser. Slicker and shines better than AIO.

I've never used AIO but I do think S100's paint cleanser isn't too bad. The cleaner gets it pretty shiny already and I can bearly tell the difference in adding the wax.

Also, I got some kind of scuff mark on the bumper a couple months ago. (The wife claims she's innocent :D ) I thought it was going to take a PC and polish to get it out, but the S100 SEC took it right off! :xyxthumbs

S100 SEC probably shines the car better because it actually has abrasive particles in it as opposed to AIO being merely chemically abrasive. I would use AIO when a polish isn't needed (yeah, right. Like there is a car on this planet that doesn't need some polishing. lol).

 Did you used to work in Meguiar's cust svc.? :D

I always thought it shined better because SEC contained more polishing oils. There really isn't a significant difference in abrasive content between these two products. Don't be fooled into believing AIO has no abrasives. :)

Does this remind anyone of a beer commerical: less filling/taste great VS. great shine/ last longer.

BTW if you want a great shine use a glaze and if you want longer lasting use SG. I got him confused now.

Its all good

I was confused at the beginning of this post, why should now be any different :)

My car doesn't need a polish, that I'm sure of... glaze maybe, but not necessary.
