Price Per Ounce - $.59

Price Per Wash - $1.18

Price was equal to 1z Perls and Sonus Gloss Shampoo. Wolfgang and Pinnacle Shampoo's came out to more. So price was relatively cheap compared to it's competitors.

P21s Bodywork Shampoo was a pleasure to use. It met all of it's claims and impressed me. The shampoo foamed up well when I filled up the 2 gallon bucket, but once it hit the wet surface the suds pretty much disappeared...not a dislike, just an observation. It kind of pooled on the surface like I had no protection on the paint but looked GREAT...like it was just sprayed in the paint booth. But anyways, the car was moderately soiled and P21s didn't seem to have any problem removing the grime, but then again my car stays reasonably clean and the surface is usually slick. I used (2) lamb's wool mitts with (2) 2-gallon buckets. 2 oz of Shampoo in one: 2 gals of water and the other just 2 gals of water.

Anyways, the real impresser came when I rinsed. The water sheeted off to reveal a deeper, wetter shine underneath. This made me happy and I had a couple comments (dad and neighbor) when I was drying. So in short:

Pros

-Gloss Enhancing

-Pretty Slick when using

-Lowest price bracket for elite shampoos

Cons

-Slick, but there are slicker ones out there (PB SS&S)

-It's still $1.18 per wash

My choice of shampoos for all around would still go to PB SS&S. I haven't given 1z Perls a shot yet, but will soon.

Comments/Questions?

Hmm, not as slick as PB's SS&S? I didn't find the PB's to be slick at all, but then again I only used 1oz. of shampoo as per the instructions. Do you use 1 or 2 ounces when using PB's?

Sean,

I'm glad you were finally able to use my sample. I'm glad you liked it.

My experience with Super Slick & Suds was not as positive as yours. I got a sample from RedondoV6 and just did not feel it cleaned as well. I find it slightly slicker than P21S but not as "lubricious" (is that a word?) as Perls.

P21S should get the price down by offering larger sizes. I am not sure why they don't do this.

Thanks for the write-up.

I only had a chance to use mine once this past summer, and in my initial observation I experienced the same disappearing suds phenomena. I felt a little let down that first time after experiencing the generous suds and lubricity from Meg's GC and NXT car soaps. But I thought maybe I hadn't mixed enough.

Question: You said you used 2 ounces per 2 gallons of water. The instructions on the bottle say something like 2-3 capfulls. Kinda vague. Does 1 P21S capfull = 1 ounce, or did you use something else to measure out precisely? If you just used the standard cap, did you fill it up right to the brim (x2)?

Thanks!

It's definitely a very premium wash but I can't conclude if it's the best I ever used. It was the very first wash I used the day I brought the Audi home; before I had the foam gun. I still have some on the shelf. I reserve it as a "special occasion" wash for the reasons Silver Lexus noted.

JDookie: Yeh and I used much less PB's. 1 oz per 2 gals. I just felt like the mitt "floated" over the surface with less friction.

Lee: Yes, thank you for the sample again. Next time I use it will be after S100 as a topper. You mentioned it works a bit better that way, so I will give it a shot. As it stands now though, I don't have a large need for a gloss enhancing shampoo. Most of the time, I do have the time for a QD or coat of wax/sealant. This will come in nice for days that I don't though.

The price thing is still big to me, yes. I would like it in a liter version for like $15.

Jason: I have no idea! I got the sample from lee and just assumed it was 1 oz per gallon like most washes :nixweiss

Bill: Ahh the foam gun :) ...What are you using in it now?

patrick: Thanks...What's the combo up to now?

Sean: I've been using the foam gun for a while now but at the time, when I first got my Audi and used the P21s, it was the standard buckets and mitts.

MAN, I'm sick of these post with pics and it's nice outside! It sucks here! It's snowing here! The next day after my last customers detail.

my last customer of the season drove out of my garage and right into a snowstorm like that :down

GSRstilez, sorry to go off topic here, but after looking at the pics and seeing that your Integra is lowered with virtually no wheel/fender gap, How do you clean and detail the wheel wells? I assume that you pull the wheels a few times a year, but How do you clean and dress the wells all the other times you clean the car? thanks for the help

audipower: Don't get your hopes up :) ...That last shot of my car with the sun poking through was about a 2.5 minute window. It has been cloudy or precipitating for a month or so now. I can't remember the last full day of sun :(

SR77: I pull the wheels at least twice a year to give a thorough cleaning. Other times, I just hose em down, do the best I can with my wheel mitt (older), rinse, dry, then dress by hand.
