wanted to see if anyone has washed or cleaned their microfiber towels with oxiclean(oxyclean). i've read people using it on their carpets, but wondering if the oxiclean would affect the towels at all.

I have thought about it, but anything granular scares me. I just cant imagine a piece somehow not dissolving and staying on the towel. Thats my only concern.

I agree, the idea of using a granular material to wash microfiber towels is kinda alarming. I would stick with liquid, better safe than sorry.

I've been doing this for the past few washes and find that it really helps clean the towels, especially if I get any dirt on the towel (usually from under the hood or around the trunk area). No problems so far, but I'll keep an eye out for the granular particles.

I also use a long wash cycle with extra rinse, and that should help prevent any issues.

I use granular tide and oxyclean and have been for a while. No problems. Don't worry guys, the granules dissolve just fine.

I've had problems with the Oxiclean granules not dissolving. I prefer to soak my towels in liquid Tide solution overnight and then wash followed by 2 rinse cycles.

what i do is (I have Oxi and uses powder detergents, liquids are hard to find here in Manila) I dissolve the powder separately using a cup or bottle, shake it a lot and dissolve everything before pouring into the washing machine... let the machine fill up with water and let it run for a couple of minutes before throwing the towels in the tub
