Our outside car after ONE night, and 2 methods of correction

Our poor SUV just gets hammered this time of year. The dew from the previous night drips off the leaves onto the car. Those leaves, of course, contain bird poo, bug poo, pollen, pollution, and sap. In March we have yellow cars, due to the pollen. In April we have spotted cars. I washed and spray waxed yesterday... look at this...

Seems almost pointless (says my wife), but it needed a good wax to stave off further etchings. This thing already has 13 years of poo and sap etchings. Naturally, I can't just "wax", I have to polish first.

Can you see a difference in the left and right side? On the left side (passenger side), I used Menzerna 1000, Menzerna 2500, Sonus Paintwork Cleanser, and HD Poxy. WAY too much work for this car, but I just wanted to see how good it could get. On the right side (driver) I used the Menz 1000 as well, but then I went straight to Chemical Guys Blacklight, by hand. It came out very good, and was 1/3rd the work. Time will tell if Blacklight will outlast the Poxy.

Check this out....

Notice the clarity in the reflection of the trees. Can I live with a bit less optical purity on this car? Heck yes! I don't even use this car. Rarely at least. I'll be investigating AOI's for this car. But to date, I've not been satisfied with them. I have some Wolfgang Uber coming. We'll see..

 Ooohh I hate when I click "post" rather than "preview"....

In the picture directly above, I called the CG product "Hybrid Radiant Finish", but in fact it's called Black Light Radiant Finish. The 2X means I applied two layers.

Also, I should add that the CG Black Light is HIDING swirls, compounding haze, and to some degree, minor etchings, whereas the Menzerna 2500 deleted them. I just want to make clear that this is an apples and oranges test.

WaxAddict- Given those circumstances, I'd be all about protection with little regard for the subtleties of appearance. I'd rather be "just washing it for months on end" as opposed to having it look just right but needing lots of redoing.

YIKES.... That is plain nuts, man.

I don't park under trees anymore, for that reason. No thanks. I used to do it for the shade, but noooo thanks.

Please keep us posted on your little experiement.

Also, you mentioned not being satisfied with AIOs. Have you tried HD Speed? If not, I can send you a sample.

thanks JJ! I just got some Wolfgang in trade, so I'll try that. I bit pricey for this use, but if it works, I'm done. The CG Black Light is actually an AIO, it just doesn't say that in the label. Typical of CG, they say a LOT of other stuff, just not the fact that it's an AIO.

Anytime (except Sundays, and Holidays). LOL at CG saying a whole bunch, but not what it is. That's funny. Reading the label on the Blacklight sucks. Such small print, and so much is said.
