Ottawa-Ontario. Buffing help !

Insides&out

Hey guys, looking for an actual "pro" in Ottawa to help me out with some of my buffing skills. I am fairly good. I had a gentleman show me how to manage myseld fairly well. But, turns out this guy is missing important final steps to his process and my cars arnt leaving as good as "autopians" :) Thanks !!

The hardest thing ive encountered as far as highspeed buffing goes is the Mercedes Benz black paint. You can buff with wax and leave holograms in their clear coat. Are you a shop owner looking for a good detailer, or a car owner looking for a good detailer ? The final steps are crucial. I would love to spend some time to show you. Good luck !

I can help. I've trained shop owners in the past to do not only good work, but great work and free of holograms. Also, I highly recommend you search some of my previous "click and brag" threads in the 'Pro Details' forum.

I'd certainly be up for the job. I've got thousands of hours on the rotary polisher and DA and am great at teaching people new things. I love final polishing as well, which where your old guy seems to have missed. Feel free to check out some of the work I've posted.

I haven't used my Hitachi in forever, and when I did I'd usually finish with the PC.

We should do a Ottawa-Toronto get together in Ottawa, LOL.

I'm looking for the best detailer (autopia level) in the Ottawa area with regard to a rail dust problem. Any suggestions for this time of the season? Original thread was posted as follows:

I'd say you've found him. gtpaul is in Ottawa and as far as I can tell, he's damned good. It sounds like from your thread you may need a decontamination + clay, or just a good aggressive clay then light polish. I'm sure Paul can take care of either.

I can take a look at the car. If it is just rail dust then there should be a huge problem in removing it. When removing rail dust and other contaminants like this, you will often need to compound and polish after to remove the scratches/swirls/marring created. (which is what the dealership created and didn't remove).

Email me at [email protected] and we can arrange for me to have a look.

Knowing what kind of vehicle it is: not 2008 Japanese roadster, We need to know what kind of paint we are looking at. Honda S2000 paint, Nissan 350z paint.. etc.
