OK, I'm a neewb and dont own either but some friends/family do and looking to help them out.

Do you try to correct anything(I assume since many use rotary's) or just clean then wax?

i heard from somewhere that it needs to be fiberglass safe?, well if the boats fiberglass(duh) and also that mothers is(assuming most automotive products are good for this app?

Also what would be good products?use a sealant or wax? I have some DG products and may pic up some of the marine stuff if i can get it OTC(also if it better for this app)

Thanks in advance

The Duragloss Marine Poish #501 is very good on boats ..its a very strong cleaner and cuts oxidation very good....with a PC even better..but still works by hand with muscle power...leave a exellent gloss and protection.....all the DG marine products I have used worked very well ...you can try Carquest for them.....

Collinite makes another good Marine product...they have a fiberglass cleaner and also have the best boat wax going....

I do not know if your doing by hand or Machine...but a PC or rotary will be your best friend...or your arms will be tired by the end of day if boat is oxidized bad...its a lot of work....

Also I have had good results useing Megs #83 and #66 on boat hulls....but a rotary is best with these 2 ..but a PC will work also....

I have to agree with Al on this one. I used DG 501 this past summer for the end of year clean up and winter prep on my boat. I then topped with Collonite 845 and it looked fantastic.

Yeah I have a UDM and Makita rotary(just got both). Well I should have checked earlier, but guess the boats are all alum, then a jetski.

do people ever put anything on alum boats?(prob not?)

what about a jetski? is that just plastic or is it fiberglass?

sealant or wax preffered?

I have some DG101/105/AW, that good enough for the jetski?

thanks again
