A new client saw some of my other work and asked if I could bring back his #'s matching 62 Vette. I showed him the last 62 Vette I worked on (which so happens to be the same color) and we immediately set the appointment for a big correction.
Here is the car upon arrival
Original motor, looking quite nice
The paint needed a lot of work, but unfortunately my halogen lights were acting up and I didn't get hardly any pics showing the severity of the swirls and scratches. Here are the pics I was able to get.
After compounding...
Trunk lid needing some work...
After compounding
After polishing
Even the lower sections on the body got the right treatment. Not the most fun to work on (laying on your back with a rotary at your chest), but it needs to be done....
Correction completed but the sun was setting so sun shots were taken while light was available. LSP was Blackfire Wet Diamond.
The hard top needed correction too. There was some window frame damage that was to be repaired at a later date.
Exhaust before/after
Finished pictures
Tires were stripped with Stoner's Tarminator then dressed with Meg's water based dressing. The shine was knocked down after pictures were taken for a more matte finish.
Thanks for looking!
