Organizing/Storing Pads and MF Towels

Disclaimer: I'm brand spankin' new. I've been reading this forum for a few weeks, but this is my first post. I appreciate all the great info here, but I cannot find an answer to my current question. Believe me, I have searched.

I bought MFs and applicator pads for wax, polish, compound, scratchX, tire shine, and metal polish. I also have MFs for windows, waffle weaves for drying, and MF mits for washing. I want to avoid cross contamination, but I'm looking at like 14 different containers here. I definitely want to keep the wash/dry stuff in it's own container, and probably the glass towels too. But can the rest be mixed? I broke down the question to make it easier to answer:

  1. Can I store the MF towels with the foam applicator pads? Or will this make the MFs too "dirty" for product removal?
  2. Can I combine equipment for wax, compound, polish, scratch, tires, and metal?
  3. If no, is there some combination that would be okay?

Thank you in advance for any help!

Update: I found some helpful information on some other forums. It seems to be a good idea to at least separate the foam applicator pads by product. I'm still not sure about the microfiber towels. My current plan is to have an individual container for wash mits and drying towels, window MF towels, general purpose MF towels, and finally one for everything else (wax, polish, clay, etc.).
