I have a bottle of the Finish First polish/sealant that is waiting to be tested. I have two days to find a car and test it (gotta do it before April 1st.)

I heard these products are good, but not the best in their catagory.

I'm just curious, what does the FF smell like and what color is the product?

Thanks!

I've seen some good results with FF, but like Jason said, it's not the absolute best in class.

The color is like a green blue. A cream like consistancy.

The stuff smells like watered down Nu finish, all chemical like.

Hope smelling all these products don't make me brain dead

Finish First is what Chris Webmaster on honda-acura.net was pushing all the time. He was like a Jehovah's Witness with that stuff!

GeekySteve tested it on the first round of wax tests and it didn't do very well at all. If I remember correctly, he believes it and Liquid Glass are pretty much the same product.

I used FF products for a few years until recently changing over to Blackfire.

It's pretty good stuff but doesn't last as long as I'd like it to. The Finish Prep is my fave products as it does a good job of removing a variety of surface crud. The polish does a good job of leaving a glossy, slick finish. I've had as much as 5 coats of polish on my car.

I like their shampoo alot. One of the better ones I've used over the years.

For the price and ease of use it's good stuff. I'd classify FF as a good value more than a top-notch product line. Maybe not competitive with Zaino or Klasse but not as expensive or challenging to use.

Finish First was my first experience with polymers and I was very pleased with the results on two dark coloured cars. Very easy to use and seemed to give decent protection but not as durable as Klasse. It was easier to use and very little product was necessary. I used it one summer and gave the balance of the can to a neighbour who has used it for two summers. He's very pleased with it. You could leave it on the car for a week before buffing it out.
