orbital polishers

I was at Canadian Tire today, and I saw the PC on special for $179.99 Cdn. They also had a cordless orbital polisher by Simoniz (I believe) for 89.99, with two batteries, and a different kind for $49.99. Does it really make much difference what kind of orbital polisher you use? Isn't the important thing that it's orbital?

Yes it does matter. I have the PC and it is a workhorse. These other cheap polishers are not worth it. Buy a good one and you will be glad you did.

These cheaper models will not have the necessary power to do the job properly.

Ditto what was said above. I bought the PC at Canadian Tire on Sat. I have tried one of the WEN buffers with a 10" pad. Basically, they are difficult to handle and don't have enough power. Then I tried my brother's PC, and decided right there and then I would get one. The thing is amazing. Now I just have to get a proper counterweight and the velcro backing pad and some new pads and I'm all set.
