optimun car wash vrs duragloss.

They are very close, IMO Duragloss is a stronger cleaner and smells like cherry. Optimum smells like blueberries. Slickness and looks are near identical.

I'd agree but probably have a very slight preference towards the Optimum product. However, it's difficult to beat the DG product in a gallon size...

I've been using OCW as my car wash lately and was just thinking about this same thing (how it compared to DG). I would probably need to compare them side by side to really distinguish the differences between the two. At least in my case, this is not one of those scenarios where the differences were glaringly obvious to me (going by memory on the DG).

One product I will say had the opposite affect on me was DP Auto Bath. I found a bottle in my cabinet that still had a few ounces left in it so I used it this past weekend on my old project car. ....now I remember why I never finished the bottle.

I'm on my 2nd gallon of OCW but thought about switching back to DG for a bit. .....and/or Griots (which I still have not tried).

Both are top notch washes. I just go with Duragloss because it is so cheap when bought locally. The four best traditional washes I have used are Optimum Car Wash, Duragloss, Griots and Ultima. It would be hard for me to argue one over the other.

Of course saying that, I used traditional hose washes maybe 20% of the time, only when my car has gone too long without a wash. Other than those times, I used ONR. Chemical Guys has a rinseless wash but ONR is better in my opinion.

I read such good things about Duragloss. I've always wanted to try it. But Optimum keeps calling me back.
