It's a pleasure to finally announce something I've been working on. Optimum Polymer Technologies is now available at Autopia Car Care Products :rockon

With the new release of Opti-Coat 2.0, I found this a perfect time to get the brand in the store as soon as possible.

Optimum's representative, Chris, is still here to contribute and answer any technical questions that are out of my reach. Feel free to use this thread as a avenue to ask him any questions that relate to Optimum products.

You can find all of their products here:

Thanks for the announcement John! Some Optimum products are staples in everyone arsenal and I will certainly be happy to help familiarize everyone with the others and new releases. Let me know if I can help with anything.

Just wondering how DC members are liking their Optimum products. I buy so relatively few products these days, I'm kind of out of the loop on new products It's about time I make an order. Optimums newer offerings have me looking. Wondering which of their products come highly recommended? All opinions are appreciated.

Optimum products I have or use:

1. Optimum Power Clean - my favorite especially for tire brown, etc. but also use Meg's for carpets, etc. since it is not as cost effective.

2. Optimum Tire Gel - used twice. It leaves a very dark look with a wet sheen. Durability seems ok. Use Mothers and PB's usually.

3. Optimum Car Wax - used 1 (still on car) - Durability seems good. It leaves a glossy look that gives a very nice glow. It is not as wet as some other carnauba. It is very neutral (does not darken) on my dark blue MKZ paint. It looks more like some sealants to me.

4, ONR - favorite rinseless

5. Optimum car soap - my favorite soap. Produces a ton of suds and great smell. It seems more viscous at 1/2 oz to the gallon than other soaps but not sure what ingredient (property) that is - more soap?. The only downside is I do not think it rinses as well as other thinner soaps. I may just dilute a bit more.

I have yet to use an Optimum product that I didn't like. Some of my favs:

OCW
ONR
OPP
QID

I just picked up some of the new Optimum Tire Shine. I had the older version and wasn't to happy with it since it left a very matte finish. The new version is supposed to have more gloss. Can't wait to try it out.

Let me know how you like it. I typically reach for the opti-bond, so I'm interested in hearing your take on the new formula.

I want to know why you haven't used it yet :bonk:

I just purchased the Opti-Coat 2.0 but I'm waiting until I can "polish to perfection" before applying it.
