Optimum confusion

I’d like to give the Optimum line of products a try...but which ones and more importantly which combo will work best. All I want to do is light paint correction and bring up the shine.

I am using a Flex 3401.

I was thinking of using Opt Polish II with white pad, then follow up with Opt Finish on black pad then top off with a wax.

But I see they also have a PolySeal in their line of product...now where does that one come in? Is it a AIO meant to replace the Opt Polish & Opt Finish combo?

The Poli-Seal, like all AIO's, gives up something in workability, etc. in that it tends to gum up a little more when used by machine because of the sealant in it. It's certainly not any worse than other AIO's (and seems to be a very nice product in my limited experience with it). If you're ok with a multi-step process, stick with the OPII/OF plan you outlined above.

Signs like gumming up are reliable indicators that you are using way too much product. Poli Seal gives only tactile feedback, but no visual. The pad should feel well-lubed, smoothly gliding, but the product itself shouldn't leave residue/trace behind the pad.

fins&chrome, both approaches are god - everything depends on the condition of your paint. OPII can remove far more defects (especially with different pads). Think of OPS as a finishing polish, seasoned with a nice dose of chemical cleaners and a pinch of carnauba/sealant combo.

How do these Optimum products compare to Meg’s? Ease of use and finish wise?

I’ve been using #80 & #7 as a combo so far but I don’t seem to achieve the depth and ultra smoothness I’m looking for.
