optimum car wash

I've found a couple of reviews of Optimum Car Wash and was wondering if anyone else has tried it yet, if so, what were your impressions?

Well, when I ordered a gallon of Optimum Car Wax, I took the opportunity to buy a few bottles of the Car Wash as they were going for $7.99 for a 32 oz bottle - not a bad price when compared to some other premium washes.

The car wash has a very pleasant scent about it, very much like their car wax. The instructions on the label state to use 1 oz for every gallon of water. The product generates a lot of suds (if that's your thing) and does have high lubricity. The product cleans well, does not appear to strip wax/sealant and rinses cleanly off. Then again, you can probably say this about a host of other good quality car wash products. I really don't know what else to say about the Optimum Car Wash - it's not a bad product, nor will it "rock your world." Personally, I do like it and since I have a few bottles of the stuff, I'll continue to use it. It's a simple, honest product that gets the job done.

The Opt car wash is very nice but as noted so are a dozen other car washes.

What really counts for me is:

1) Cleaning ability without cutting the wax/sealant

2) Lubrication without being difficult to rinse off

3) Does it enhance the protection?

4) Sudsing ability (Suds are not a big thing for me)

The Opt carwash does produce alot of suds, Poorboys carwash even more. The Opt carwash claims to boost the OCW protection and while I cannot state if this is so, it doesn't seem to degrade it, so that alone makes it attractive for me. That and it does have a nice smell:xyxthumbs

Agree with what Anthony said above. I prefer lots of suds and use PB SS&S. Both products are very slick and clean well.

$7.99/32oz. Where did you find this price?

I just used the Optimum Car Wash today, after having used it just one time prior. It's a good car wash. It has decent sudsing ability and lubricity. I prefer Jeff's Auto Body Wash, however. I think it produces more suds and definitely feels slicker going on, two factors I like. I had more fun washing my car using Jeff's compared to Optimum, but I still do like Optimum and will probably use the soap more once I receive my order of OCW.
