My parent are in town, so I'm compelled to clean Mom's van. I felt sorry for it:)

It rained for most of the day.... Sorry no Sun shots!

I was challenged by the family..... 'What will be done first, the Turkey, or John cleaning up the van?

Process Used:

Wash: Optimum QEW and APC. 2 buckets -in the garage. It was raining out today :)

Carpet: Kids N Pets & Optimum APC.
Seats, dash, doors, seals - Optimum APC, Optimum Protect-All

Paint: OP & OCW X 2.

Ok, where do you get this FK #2180. place alink for an old man. I have seen to many pics of this stuff.

My eyes were only able to see the Tahoe.. Shiny...very shiny!! Black Tahoe...shiny... this stuff does not eff...effe..effec...effect me.

Great job on the van.

So I'll take it that you beat the bird to the table

Happy Thanksgiving

Yes, I beat the bird to the table -but it was close :)

CWCAD:

#2180 = Finish Kare. The product is called '#2180 - Sealer'. www.fk1usa.com.
The sealer color is blue (color guarded). If you apply it too thick, it remains blue, if you apply a thin layer, it will dry white.

Blue is bad!

You remind me of..... well me. You're trying everything under the sun. I've seen your work with FMJ and Zanio and IMO, you're not going to do much better. I used to use FMJ, but stopped b/c I could not justify the cost vs. other quality sealers on the market. I haven't tried the Zanio line up, but I like what I see and read.

Here's a side shot of the Tahoe.

kids & pet cleaner did you like it,do you have an opinion of it.

By the way both vehicles are nice . did your mom like her shiney vehicle.

No drain in the garage.

I used several MF's, a bucket w/Optimum APC & water and a spray bottle of Optimum QEW and second bucket with clean water to rinse out the MF's. It was toooo cold and rainy out today for the hose, and I figured since I'm polishing it, who cares about some marring from the wash.

In a few weeks it's going to have a 45,000 BTW gas furnace by Mr. Heat from Northern Tool Supply. I can't wait to hook it up!

Thanks Joe P.

Kids N Pets is an OTC product. You can find it locally. For me, it's an AWESOME carpet & lower interior trim cleaner. I use a foam spray head (from Poorboys world) to pretreat the carpet and let it stand for 20-30 min, then wet vac it. It's a chemical cleaner, and the longer you let it dwell the more effective it is on a stain. If you're in a hurry, steam will get you there quicker.

mgm2003,

Thanks for the link!!! Will have FK-2180 at my door early next week.

You are right. I am trying everything under the sun. Have had more fun doing this than almost anything that I have ever done. The rigs look good and I feel good about it.

Hey John, beautiful!

I knew you wouldn't get more than a day with out detailing. Was Crown in attendance?

He** yes Crown is in town, and we're having a blast -don't kill the buzz!

We're getting ready to wet sand the hood with 3000 grit, PG,(then I won't say.... but I have a polish on hand that you will like A LOT -he he).

I hope you and Liz had a great Thanksgiving!
