Opti-seal in Zaino Regimen?

I have read that many Zaino users top z2p or z5p with z-cs and finish next day with z8 as a final topper. I also know from the Zaino website you can, at a later date, re-apply z2p or z5p over the z-cs. Finally to my question, has anyone ever used Opti-seal as a substitute for z-cs in this type of application? If so how did it work?



I have a two bottle supply of opti-seal and would think it would work the same as z-cs.

It will likely work, but IMO, apply another layer of Z2/Z5 if you will top with Z8.



IME, For best results with either product (Zaino/OPt) use one or the other. And leave CS at the Zaino store.



If you want to use your OOS, use a couple coats of it by itself.
 
I`ve used Z2 under and over OS with no problems and don`t see any reason there should be any with Z8 either :cool:
 
My wife's car has a couple coats of z2p on it already, and I was thinking of giving it a shot of OS since I already have that product. A lot of the Zaino users like cs over z2p or z5p. I have OS on the hood of my company car. I'll just try the z8 there and see how it works/looks, before I put OS over z2p. Sometimes however I just cant leave well enough alone:chuckle:. Thanks guys for your input.
 
I love OptiSeal and have used it many times in combo with Zaino, no problem. I much prefer OptiSeal to ZCS, I just think OptiSeal adds more wettness.

To be honest I doubt if anythings added with regards durability and never tested it because like yourself I just cannot leave well alone and always tinkering but OS like UPGP almost gives the finish the look of an added layer of clearcoat.

Well worth the little effort required to apply a coat.
 
I’ve used OS over the top of freshly applied Z2/Z5 coats and unfortunately found that it clouded rather badly – no idea why but maybe applying it within an hour of removing a Z2 coat wasn’t wise ?
 
OS has some solvents in it, maybe that can cloud uncured sealants or waxes. Many sealants can be layered over each other, but side effects like clouding or streaking seem to come up if the first layer isn't fully cured. IME, OS works fine with Z2 and Z8.

Its perfect to put over carauba, it compliments the look and gives massive durability in comparison to wax without.:)
