Opti foam wash MIT

Hello guys

I just picked up the opti mitt 8in foam wash mitt and was curious on how should I wash this once I done with it. I normally wash my micro fiber wash mitts n washer but not sure about this one. I want to make sure all the dirt is gone. Thanks for the help

I use a bucket for the OPT mit, never ran it through the washer, not sure it would like it very well.

I use Tide free, or MF cleaner and it does a good job removing all the gunk left from ONR washes.

If there's noticeable dirt or debris on the mitt then I'd say yes, this is what I do with mine. I'll mix up some soap and warm water in a bucket and knead the foam until everything looks good then rinse and let dry....

When I'm finished washing the car, I use my foam gun to load it up with soap & water. Then in a clean bucket of water with a grit guard, I agitate, soak & squeeze the mitt until the water runs clean. Bring it into the house and let dry on a separate grit guard. I was told at the time of purchase no other chemicals on the mitt other then soap & water - this cleaning method seems to work just fine.

A little Dawn soap in the sink and work it around a bit. Rinse and hang to dry. Mine is holding up very well.

I use the Opti-Mitt exclusively for winter ONR washes and I have a half dozen of them.I wash mine in the wash machine and have yet a problem.I must have 20+ washes on them.

Just regular machine wash w/ no soap or is there a soap you prefer

I would be weary of using Dawn (or similar) since if there's any residual left in the mitt, during the next wash you'll be washing your car with Dawn which will strip off all the sealant or wax. That's why I was advised to stay away from those type of cleaning techniques.
