Hello everyone!

It is time for me to replace my adams wash mitts. I didnt care for them crap really gets stuck in them. I am looking for a nice quality mitt that i can trust on a vehicles finish to cause no marring. I use the 2 bucket method with grit gaurds. Im going to swing up to the target and walley world to check out here mitts. Im going to look for eurow mitts at wally world. Sheepskins that is. If i dont find any good quality ones then I am going to check out the Vroom ones. Anyone care to comment on quality?

Thanks in Advance.

I was just in Wally World on Sunday and although I'm plenty stocked up on Eurow sheepskin mitts I decided to go and pick them out any way :D. The sote had a fresh shipment of them. They come 4 in a bag. I evaluated 20 of the available mitts and narrowed down 2 that could satisfiy me. Even at that, they were still sort of questionable to me;OK for lower body washing. It's interesting because my last major stock up was actually this past winter and I got some considerably plusher ones then so I'm unsure if time of year and the sheep's coat has anything to do with plushness levels :dunno. It wouldn't surprise me though.

As for the Vroom, if they are anything like the former Baja Sol, I really see no difference between them and the Eurow. At the time I brought in one of my Eurows and evaluated it dirctly with the Baja Sols. I will do the same again with the Vroom when I can and I really must be sure to have the Eurow on on its card and in a Wal-Mart bag.

I'll be surprised if I see much difference.

If you want to stick strictly to local products, shopping for these mitts can be disappointing at times. Even when the store is nicely stocked with them, if you go through all of them, you'll immediately feel inconsistencies in plushness from mitt to mitt. It's simply the nature of the natural product. It's sort of like fishing. :D

I am not dying to shop locally I just want something better than what i have for the time being. I will buy some sheepskin from our sponsers soon. IM guessing there is a big jump in quality between a Eurow or Vroom and a sheepskin you may buy from our sponsers?

I was in Wally World last weekend buying some oil and an oil filter for the Camaro and while I was in the automotive section I decided to check out the Eurow Wash Mitts that I had been reading about online.

I was in shock! I was asking myself "These are the mitts that I read about online?!?!?!" Let's just say that I wasn't impressed at all with the plushness or the quality. It was like they shaved the backside of a sick goat or something. I didn't buy any and I don't think I will be buying any unless I need a cheap wash mitt for the engine bay.

My favorite mitt so far has been the Sheepskin Wash Mitt I picked up from Autogeek. This is best mitt for washing my Camaro.

Well I went to target and wally world today. Totally struck out. Not only didnt they ahve good quality sheepskins but they didnt have any at all. I accepted this defeat and will order the sheepskins that fuzz suggested. If the fuzz trusts them on the camaro then I can rest assured they will be fine for me.

Hey Fuzz, do you use the sheepskin wash mitt with the thumb, or the 2-in-1 sheepskin mitt?
I do like the ones with the thumb. Seem to give me better control of the mitt.

Dudes,

Those Eurow are real deal. It better than Adams crap. Go for it.
I have never used or seen the Adam's mitts up close but if Euro's are better...

Let's just say that I was very unimpressed with the Euro's. Like I said, backside of a sick goat.

The Eurows are decent for the price and the availablilty is another plus. I have yet to see any marring caused by the mitts and they seem to be very durable. I'm sure there are better mitts to be had from the venders, but for now I'll stick to the eurows.

I believe there are different Eurow sheepskin mitts. I purchased one from PakShak and one from Walmart/Kmart. PakShak's had a different label and it felt much more plush than the one from Walmart.

Greg,

I have an Adams pad and a Eurow mit. I will tell you that the Adams pad holds a TON more water, but it can be difficult to clean. I wouldn't call it crap (as someone did earlier in this thread) but you just have to spend a little more time cleaning it out after each use. I do like both though.

The reason i have retired this mitt is becuase if I run it over any dirty part of a car then it gets stuck in the mitt and hand agitation and the grit guards cant get it out. Also if there are any bugs on the finish they just get bonded to the mitt and wont come off during the wash.

Even though I don't share the opinion that sheepskin mitts are the greatest wash tools ever. I do have some of the Eurow mitts and have found them quite plush. Perhaps the "nap" is a little short in some instances :dunno I don't spend too much time dealing with the backside of goats or sheep (sick or otherwise) , so I couldn't comment on that comparison. :D

I REALLY like the Vroom mitts - Like I've heard so many times, I "pick 'em like fruit." I used mine today, and it's much much better than the chenille mitts I used to use.

Some of the Vroom ones were really weak, with hard spots in the leather. Just take your time and check often. I got lucky and they had some really nice ones when I went. Some even felt really thin in places, so choose wisely ;)

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. If your detailing and you see a sheep nearby all you gotta do is grab it by the ankles, dunk it's backside in a bucket full of soapy water and go to town. Sick sheep aren't nearly as soft and plush as good healthy sheep are.

Of course I am just kidding and have never washed a car with a live sheep or goat. Just the thought does make me laugh hysterically though. No sheep were harmed during the making of this post.

Just another thought (albeit I'm here late as usual)...

I've used the Eurow and, like Fuzz mentioned, I found it to be lack luster and of average quality...

My personal favorite is a mitt that PAC used to sell called the SW Arnold Sheepskin mitt. It's an ULTRA plush (much nicer than the Eurow IMO) mitt that holds a BOATLOAD of wash solution...

Having a black vehicle, cotton chenile is simply out of the question because of linting problems...

RP :D

I really like my Eurow mitts. Out of the 4 I've purchased, I've only had trouble with one. After ~5-7 uses and washes in the washing machine, the lining/skin has separated in a couple of areas. Other than that no problems.
