Opinions on getting a professional polish and the DIY coat

Hi!

First time posting on this forum. I am not from the US, but I do lurk around this forum a lot.

I have a couple of questions. Firstly, background to set the context. I live in a condominium where I have to access to running water nor do I have access to power plug in the basement car park. So DIY polishing with any machine is out of the question Just FYI, I live in a tropical country hence temps are round about 90 deg Fahrenheit typically.

Therefore, I plan to get my car professionally clayed, polished and waxed by them, and then head back home to DIY coat it (with Optimum Gloss Coat) on the same day. Reason for the wax is to give some level of protection to the car while its on the way back (just in case it rains, or road grime gets stuck to it). The plan once I get home is:

Wash with ONR --> (Do I need to clay again?) --> Wipedown with either IPA or CarPro Eraser --> Optimum Gloss Coat --> Gloss Coat again 24 hours later (Prior to 2nd coat, just wipe away any dust with a dry and clean MF as it can be quite dusty)

Any opinions on my plan? Or is it a solid enough plan?

Thanks for your help guys!

Just my opinion. Dry dusting will not make the finish clean enough to coat it properly.

Again, my opinion. either do the whole job yourself or have someone do the complete job since you don't have the location.

If you're set on not doing it yourself, I would tell the detailier not to wax it and ask if you can coat it yourself. Then you can just spray the Eraser and coat it there under the garage. I don't think you need 2 coats.

The detailer would have to be cool about you doing that obviously, but if you're paying to get it polished to perfection, I don't see why 30 minutes under their garage should be a problem.
