Tex Star Detail

OK......After Troy shot down a previous design I had,:bonk: , I decided to start again.

Been through a lot of my cards, and running a bit low. Wanted to change the cards this time round. This is my old design.....

And this is what I came up with for a new one......

I picked the old one, but I would like it better if you used the nautical stars(split stars) on it instead of the ones already on it.

I like the old one, the car in the new one looks too photo shopped.
Just a sugestion, but on the original is there any way to move the car move to the center? My eyes seem to be drawn to the open white space.

Chris there not Worth much..hahahah J/K gotcha

I like the old one my self but i do like the Yellow car in the new one..

Here's one way to look at it. You're going to give these out like hot cakes. If you make the change and decide you don't like them you can always switch back next time you print. I kind of like the new ones. Change is good. By the way, neither of them suck.

I'd stick with the first one there. Maybe make a few changes to it but i like the overall layout of it way better than the second one.

Hey you wanted my opinion and I was just giving it to you. :gotcha:

The cards I'm using now are terrible in my opinion and I designed those. So what do I know.

Since you wouldn't tell me whether you liked blue or brown for the header, I'm not telling you which one I like better. :bubba

Troy

Ahhhhhh, you butt head...... LOL
I did too tell you what color....hahaha, brown, but you didn't listen to what the public wanted.....Typical politician!!! hahahahaha,

Sorry...just got back from the club...little tipsy.

Of the two shown I prefer the first one but not the gray background color. I would think a darker color (top & bottom) would enhance and contrast the white print.

The grey isn't working for me either. I would just have a simple card to match your website header and detail trailer.

Maybe list a few things that make you a good choice for them.

- how long you have been in the business
- training you have had
- What all you work on ie. cars, boats, planes, fleets etc...

It's gonna be the impression you make when handing them the card that will get them to use you. There aren't many people that will choose a detailer by the look of their card.

Your trailer gives a first impression as well as your website or any mailer or advertisement, but the card should be just a source of contact info for them and the logo on it should remind them of your website, trailer or advertisement.

If I had to rely on the look of my card to get me business, I would be pretty slow right now. ;)

As for the butt head comment  You are off my Christmas list! :boot

Troy

I tend to think that less is more with cards...

Listing your years in experience would be helpful

The logo car should not over take the writing....you don't want the person to focus on the first

All that said I still like the original design...it flows OK for me. A bit busy with the stars and boarders...one thing is that you don't need to have every space available on the card filled up with something

Here's the perfect card for you, don't bother thanking me, I'm just glad I could help you out. :gotcha:

Troy, where did you find a picture of me wearing my pimp shorts?!?!?!?!?!?!:bow

Here is the thing with the first design....

The card was a template. The Car AND the gray strip across the TOP and the 3 small gray strips on the bottom are already there. Cannot move or change.

I like the one that you just put up that is a good one the one thats on your trailer. You should put the quote that troy thought up somewhere on it "Isn't your car Worth it??"

The thing about the original card is that a black car is the epitome of detailing... most people associate black cars, and rightly so, with the hardest to take care of and the most beautiful when properly taken care of. Having a black car on the card is kind of like putting yourself in a higher class of detailing as far as the lay person is concerned.

Just an opinion.

Maybe, see if you can get one of your customers, with a black car, to allow you to use a picture of the car on your cards. After it's properly cleaned and detailed that is. Maybe catch a part of the car with a good reflection. Then, have the cards printed on a gloss type card or something that will show the picture well.

Just an idea.

I like the design Troy made..Chris in his pimp shorts washing the family car....

but the last design Chris put up looks good....

Al

hahahaha, For the people that do not know me, that is not a pic of me.....LOL

Edit, do you all like the last one I put up? With the Red Enzo?
