New client. Wants this 20 year old to look better for the upcoming Porsche Werks Reunion.
Car appears to have had nothing but scratch and swirl washes for the past 20 years! FULL of swirls, heavier defects and it’s just a mess.

The ‘details’:
Adam’s tire and rubber cleaner.
Adam’s wheel cleaner.
Misc. brushes.
Blackfire shampoo.
McKee’s37 Hydro blue on wheels/calipers.
Beta test waterless wash.
Clayed via medium clay alternative, beta WW as lube.
DeFelsko PTG.
Scangrip lighting.
Flex 3401.
Flex XFE 15.
Rupes iBrid.
Misc. foam pads.
Griot’s fast correcting cream.
Griot’s perfecting cream.
Adam’s surface prep.
Adam’s ceramic paint coating.
Pinnacle exhaust cleaner and brightener.
Adam’s trim restorer.
SCG pro glass cleaner.
Metro vacuum.
McKee’s37 Fast interior detailer.
McKee’37 leather conditioner.

Thanks for looking and I apologize in advance for the many photos!

Sizzle Chest:
Although it is not mentioned and there are no pics of this Porsche with the convertible top up, is there something special that you do to clean and detail convertible top material? (Picky, picky, picky Captain Obvious!).

I also assume the 50/50 pics of the black dimpled cowl and plastic trim parts are with Adam`s Trim Restorer being applied. Have you ever tried Solution Finish Trim Restorer for plastics? (If not, someone send him a sample! No beta-testing needed for this product.)

I REALLY appreciate the photos of the Porsche cars you do. Unparalleled detailing workmanship (and photography!) as usual. When and where is the Porsche Werks Reunion?

Thanks everyone! Glad everyone is enjoying my post!

Lonnie: I use a lot of 303 and ragtopp products for `vert tops. This one was stuck down and would not go up, so it did not get done. That will be at a later date after it is repaired. Adam`s spray ceramic coating is also awesome on tops!

Cowl was just after being coated. The bumperettes were after the trim restorer. Yes! I have SF and like it! I had not used the Adam`s offering and wanted to try it out, it is good too!

Porsche Werks Reunion (east coast) is held annually in Amelia Island Florida, the same weekend/dates as the Amelia Island Concours.

Terrific transformation! On the taillight lenses, do you use the same techniques as on the paint (compound and/or polish, matched foam pads) and does it remove any UV protection from the factory in the plastic?

Also, I`ve read numerous ways people get rid of tape residue after taping off paint. Is sudsy water with carsoap (maybe warm) the safest? I tried dishwashing detergent and while effective, it left white stains that were hell to remove with alcohol as I didn`t want to use other solvents.

That color is beautiful. Great restoration on the paint. Glad that as a professional (a respected one) that you use Adam’s products. I feel as though they dont get their fair shake due to over zealous “fanboys”. The make good products.... some great ones.

Thanks everyone!!

Drew: Yes, pretty much the same technique as paint. Plastics `hold` heat differently than other materials so you need to watch that. I don`t believe it`s removing any substantial UV protection.
Tape residue comes off pretty easily. Sometimes some waterless wash or detail spray and a MF towel does the trick!

Coatings: Yes, I believe they have some very good/excellent offerings.

Mike: LOL, I actually got it working for him later that day. Top is operational and he will be northbound in a few weeks! (imagine that run w/the top down? Geez, would beat the heck outta ya! LOL)

Excellent work, that thing was in bad shape, looked like some of the work trucks I get brought to me.
Oh and I am jealous of your weather.

If you use a good quality masking tape, there will never be any residue left to remove..

I have used miles of this tape and it has never left anything on any surface --- https://www.autopia-carcare.com/3m-masking-tape-03431.html#.XjuKnTKQH3g

EXCELLENT, and the "beta test waterless wash" caught my attention as I`m always looking for new WW`s to try.

I`m a professional and I agree Adam`s has some great stuff, but I`m not a respected one like Sizzle. Around my parts I`m that "crazy guy who thinks people will actually pay $60 to get their damn car washed!"

He used their wheel cleaner, which is great stuff. You can get a 5 gallon jug of it for around $225 shipped, which is CHEAP. Imagine how much 5 gallons of Iron X would cost. I don`t see how professional detailers can use brands like CarPro and make a decent living still.
