ONR saved me

so yesterday i took on a detail on a black SUV for an interior shampoo and exterior wash/wax. little did i know that it was going to be damn near 90* outside. lets just say that my traditional wash method was leaving more spots than a dalmation. thank god i had ordered up some ONR and received it a few days prior. i used scotts method and BAMM! no more spots. i think its safe to say that i have a new friend when it comes to washing in the heat.
 
congrats on finding a new method to work around different air temperatures. i like using ONR as well in my garage when it's really hot, rainy, or cold.
 
Yeah, ONR is a savior in so many ways. So much that it's the reason why so many other manufactures/relablers are entering the market with their offering.
 
I've not done a traditional wash in over a year now, only ONR, maybe a rinse before ONR if it's really bad. I helped a friend wash their car the other day using the traditional method and I said if ONR ever goes away I think I would have to change careers. I don't think I could go back to traditional washes after be so spoiled by how easy and nice a job ONR does.

Agree 100%. Helped us out in a parking garage today. Owner never checked to see if it was okay and as we were finishing up, the parking garage manager showed up and said we weren't allowed to wash cars in there and demanded to know where we washed it. Told him we use a low water, rinseless method and we did it right where the G37 was sitting. He obviously didn't believe us because he then walked that entire floor looking for water. :lol

Marco - Can you share the thread you looked at? I know I have seen it before but for the life of me I can't find it. Was it a U Tube Video? I think Scott has one related to washing with ONR. I have to start using ONR as I'm so fed up with washing using the traditional method. Especially with the hard water at my home...
 
I can't get into ONR, I agree its a good product and I do like it. I have a long gravel driveway so maintaining my vehicles in pristine condition is not happening. Most times I need a good ole' water stream when washing and I've found I can't wash any faster using ONR. I know I haven't mastered the technique for ONR and I just feel out of sync doing a wash with it. I mainly use it in a spray bottle for touching up door jams or bird droppings, etc. I'm just talking out loud here, not bashing the product or anything like that.

im still learning the product, but i did my entire truck a few days ago (05 sierra crew cab black) and it only took me about 15 mins to complete (not including wheels).
 
I'm getting more into using ONR as the regular wash as well. It's great when the bucket fills up with enough water before you hae a change to pour in your cap fulls of ONR!



However, I find that it's not great for degreasing. I think I had tire gel sling on the door panel, and ONR just left it behind. Any tips on what do do when you need a second product like a bug and tar remover in some spots? Do you just pre-spray with the other product and continue with ONR as normal?

I'm sort of in the same boat as you. I do very much like and use ONR, but it just doesn't do the same job as a traditional wash with my pressure washer. Maybe it's because I'm in the snow belt but I just feel it lacks the cleaning ability compared to my traditional wash.

I'll have to agree with you on that. I think it has it's place but when a car has more than just a light film of grime/dust I feel the need to go with a traditional wash instead.
 
I can't even imagine running a mobile detailing business without the use of Onr. It would be like not using a computer. As for bugs and tar yes you would use a bug and tar remover. Onr just replaces the washing step.
