ONR and the mobile detailer

Is ONR a good product for the mobile detailer?

I know Scottwax uses it but I see alot of dirty trucks and SUVs where I am. I have to use my pressure washer alot.

How is it on bugs and brake dust?

I can see how would save me time due to washing and drying in almost the same step.

Let me know guys. Trying to get geared up for winter too.

If you make a spray bottle of QD conncentration of ONR it will clean up pretty bad bugs and brake dust. Ive switched to using mostly ONR washes since I find it alot easier and you dont have to worry about water dripping for hours after your done drying. Doesnt get caught up in moldings like you do with a regular hose. It takes me about 5-10 minutes longer to wash the vehicle but I make it up in the time it take to dry and remove water from the moldings.

Single bucket method:

This whole process is still like rocket science to me I've read all the threads but it scares me to even think I'm washing a car with one bucket, or two buckets, or a bug sprayer...anything besides running water, can someone take a second and run down how this works, how it doesnt scratch, swirl etc?

I just can't see this working on black, or blue or something as far as swirls go...I'm assuming when you guys use a pressure washer your somehow getting it to just suck water out of buckets, can you post what your using? I live in an apartment with no running water outside :(

I use it on all color cars and it works out just well. No scratches, just use a rinse bucket just incase you're afraid.

Where in louisiana are you Beason? I'm in Pensacola FL come over and get my new Honda swirl free and show me this non running water method :)

It does work... I've never doubted that all!

It's just a process I want to perfect and want all the knowledge I can get. Remember, it is not the same formula of car wash liquid. It's designed to wrap around the dirt and protect the car's finish.

This is the washer I'm using now...

It's an awesome washer for the money and easy to crank. Perfect PSI for autos. I only use it when I have 3+ cars to at one location. I'll come in and set up. I use their water and power.

Most of the time I just use the water hose. There alot of trucks and SUVs so the pressure washer helps in the wheel wells and tires along with the bugs. I use a two bucket method with NXT car wash and 2 synthetic sponges. I found that the sponges release the dirt alot better than anything else. I know I can save time and get nice results with ONR. And I know it will save my butt in the winters here!

Do a search on Optimum No Rinse or Quick and Easy Wash, there are literally hundreds of threads about it. It works and no pre-rinsing needed unless the vehicles is horribly caked in road salt or mud.

haha I'm glad my gf doesn't really care about her car, I'm going to buy and try this(ONR or QEW better?) along with my swirlbuster and other swirl removing products on her 99 nissan altima that is neglected if I can get it to work on that then its a sure bet. From what I've read, two buckets, a grit gard, mitts/mf, spray bottle, and a waffle weave... How many strokes on each panel do you make before you rinse or dip into more soap?

Shreveport, North west tip of LA, about as far away as possible.

Why make the product more complicated? One bucket, grit guard if you want and a chenille covered foam pad or whatever you prefer. Just wash like you would if you were using regular car wash soap, you will see the dirt just literally melt down the panel and dry with quality microfiber towels. One drying pass with the first towel, making sure to leave some moisture behind and follow with another MF towel to finish drying. My kids picked it up immediately and can already wash cars almost as quickly as I can.
