One Grand Blitz Wax question...

How the heck do you open the tin??? I tried a nickel, two nickels (one on each side) and a screwdriver. All they are doing is chewing up the can and moving the lid about 1/4-1/2 way out. I can't get the freaking thing open!

I used to use a fairly long handled screwdriver, maybe just a little longer than the standard. Ought to work unless they started using the world's most power vacuum to seal it since I used it last :nixweiss

I had the same experience. I recommend you use the widest driver or similar tool you have and very gently and slowly pry up the edge all the way around; you can't just pop it off from one point like you can other cans. That lid really is poor!

You won't be able to completely avoid bending the edge, though.

I finally got it off with a huge screwdriver. There is a bit of black shavings that fall off the lid, and I had to very carefully wipe the can rim to keep it out of the wax. What a horrible container!

The wax smells like a beeswax candle, a nice soft scent. I'm pretty excited to try it out. :)

Thin flat head screw driver...works everytime. Once the lid has been off and on a few times the whole process is much easier.

I love Blitz Wax on light colors. It leaves a very clear, bright and wet finish. It is as durable as #16 yet glides on and off like butter...just don't let it set on the paint very long!!
