One amazing experience & one not so good

I have not been on here much over the last six months with my move to CT. But I have not stopped buying products. Recently I had an issue with one product from AG, and when I spoke to Meghan, she was great. We started talking about football and she told me she was a Pats fan. I sent her some Pats gear, but before she even received it, my bottle was replaced and their was a full thing of Souveran in the box as well. (she knows that is my fav). So today, it was time for my monthly order. I ordered about 15 or so products and told her that I will be travelling back to FL next week and was unsure of which address to ship it to. House in CT or the the house I just bought in Tampa. She said, dont sweat it, I will make sure it arrives in time before you leave. (no cost to me). She has been there through thick and thin with me and has always made me WANT to do biz with them again.

Now, for the other side of the spectrum. I have had a great relationship with properautocare.com for the past couple of years. I have raved about their blackfire products as well as EF glass cleaner. My bottle of FMJ had recently become hardened for no apparent reason. I emailed them and after waiting a couple of days, they finally responded. They asked some questions, and it seemed to me, they were basically insinuating that it was my fault. (only problem out of 500 products that i have like this). I offer to send the product back at my own cost and do so. I package that up and send it back to them. It has been over a week and they say that it has not arrived. Here is the kicker. Here is what they asked me to do. "Purchase another bottle and when yours comes in, we will refund you". I told Jan that she is not being fair here. I have spent thousands there over the last 2 years. All I asked is that they replace one product that was clearly bad. At this point, they are not even responding to my emails.

I wanted everyone to see both sides of the spectrum. As much as I love some of CMA's products, they have lost my business for now. I think that is a shame, but sometimes in this world of customer service, people should really think before actions are taken.

We are blessed in this industry with so many great places to get products from like Autopia, AG, Danase, and others. Maybe in some ways, it is our fault, because we expect so much in return. But in the end, that is how I seperate where my money goes to. Places like Autopia and AG continue to provide this. Others should take a look and see how to improve.

i agree 100%...thanks for sharing your experiences. i've learned to appreciate customer service over the years and don't mind paying a premium (if necessary) to go back to where the service comes first.

* Starts to get Pats gear ready to send to Meghan * :LOLOL :LOLOL

Customer service is the deciding factor for me. If they don't have good customer service, they will NEVER get my business. I will never try to buy from them again.

I never had a problem ordering from AG, detailedimage, or TOL. I will always order from these places with no doubt in mind! I rarely ever have to send e-mails about something bad. :woohoo:

I have to agree. Ag is the best when it comes to customer service. Whether it was damaged during shipment or just a bad batch you will get a replacement and most likely a sample of something else. I spend most of my money there.

The funny thing as anyone that was here last year, knows how many things that I had to say about CMA and a few of their products that I raved about. But they will not get my business and the hundreds I spend each month on products.

You know, it's funny, and we've had these thread exchanges, but I haven't ordered from AG since that time they told me something was shipped but couldn't come up with a tracking number and then I couldn't get any response from them for a few days (until they actually shipped it) at which point I was able to get a tracking number. Not that they are the only ones to play that game; DF Towel was the most recent.

Thanks for the info joshtpa. I have never ordered from proper auto care but gotten close, however I've emailed them numerous times and never gotten a response and I find their description of each of their products to be very long and they all stink of marketing hype

So it's unlikely that I'll bother, TOL have been good and Meghan and the AG team have been great with me, found a way to save me over thirty US dollars in shipping to Australia with my last order

Mostly I buy LC pads and Menzerna gallons from them, I'm finding it difficult to see anything else worthwhile of buying from AG these days, not using anything pinnacle or wolfgang anymore. Just a few DP products and some cobra's, though they will most likely be replaced by a big seoul based MF manufacturer's towels shortly.

AG's might loose me as a customer one day soon, it's just the nature of the way I go about things. I never stand still.

Manufacturers and suppliers get left behind each year, if they don't keep up with me, then they are gonna get left behind and discarded.

i totaly agree with this. Ag has great customer seervice, they always deliver quickley and correctly. I have never been unhappy with them. however i have tired everything frm them i want to try.

sometimes you just need to move on. Its unforuntate but thats life.....

Maybe if they start carrying some more brands (they are always etting new ones) I will order from them, but untill then chances are slim.

esp since a canadian retailer (eshine) can get anything in for me, it just takes some time

The one thing I love about AG is that they're in FL. Every time I order from them its usually at my door step the next day.

like i've mentioned before... customer service plays a big role in my purchases, and if i get the run around, bad customer service, etc... i'll spend my $'s somewhere else. the way you spend your money is your voice!

p.s. AG has great customer service in my experience as well...

I also had a few problems with CMA , I have bought tons of stuff over the past couple of years . I agree AG is awesome. Where in CT are you?

Im in West Hartford Center. But a house right behind where Max's Oyster Bar is. But heading back to FL for the winter.

Here is the latest update on this awful experience from properautocare.com (cma).

It has been over 7 days since the item was sent back to them. I emailed Phil and basically said, "what is going on"? His response as they have always been were worthless. Here is the message

Josh,

I understand that you say you sent the package back to us. At this point there is nothing else that we can do for you.

Is it me or does that imply that I am lying (you say you sent it back). I emailed back again, and said "I find it hard to believe that after my loyalty to your company and your products with my spending hundreds every month from you, you are willing to throw that away over $45 retail. Certainly there is something we can do. Meet me in the middle somewhere and we can work this out. Right now, I am out the money I spent on the item, shipping money back to you, and the product itself. Yet, you are out absolutely nothing. That does not seem right to me, does it to you?"

Here is the response I got.

We have done all we can do.

So, here we are. The funny thing is, I am the one that offered to send the product back. Dont have a problem with having to do that, but they never asked. But to ask me to buy another one, seems a little off. They have officially lost my business, which is a shame, because I love a few of their products. But with great places out there like Autogeek and Autopia and others, it is hard to support people that just do NOT care. They spend more time bashing AG and David when you are in their store rather than trying to sell you their products.

Just wanted to drop a note to anyone that works with them. If you get a bad product, they obviously will not stand behind them.

I am in Farmington about 10 - 15 min away. When are you leaving? I would love to check out all your stuff, of course I have a ton my self. It seems like we both buy everything that comes out.

I don't like trashing anyone online but truth be told I had a pretty bad experience in Tampa, at CMA, I was hoping they had SIP and when I went in to get a possible substitute I was told pretty much how bad sip is and yadda yadda yadda. Now keep in mind they had every Menzerna product known to man sitting there...except SIP. That turned me off completely and I just picked up a few pads, never to return again.

However, Jason at AG has taken very good care of me and made me want to shop again. Same can be said about the hands on experience and phone calls I have had with Sal over at Zaino. It is this type of outstanding customer service that will keep me coming back for more and more.

Long time lurker, first poster...

Josh you are the finest walking piece of slander I have ever seen and why you are allowed to come on to this board and lie is beyond me.

You walked into CMA and demanded money in order to support the products. This is a fact, and it is also a fact that you have admitted in the past to slamming products when you owned your former company for money. You are obviously up to the same scam and its unforunate that you feel this is a respectable way to make money.

BTW, bounce any more checks to friends?

I have never bounced a check in my life...You have me confused with someone else my friend. But Im sure I owned an insurance recruiting firm. How you get that to something else, I have no idea. But thanks for chiming in. You can look up my business in Sunbiz.org. It was called Executive Solutions International. Insurance recruiting. Everyone on here, knew that is what I did. But judging by the glowing reviews I gave your products in the past, maybe I should have asked for money. In fact if you read my original thread, you will see how unfortunate that I thought this was based on the fact that I liked your products. This is coming from the same person that got the boot from another well known forum due to the fact that his IP address had like 30 screen names....Sounds to me like you are practicing that yourself.

You have told us you have several registered names for tax write offs. You can make anything look legit as you spent time explaining on how to do it. Please don't name one of your fake companies to make you look legit.

Are you denying that you have asked for money in order not to say negative things about CMA?
