2004 Civic EX magnesium
Just wanted to thank all the GREAT folks here again. It's so nice to drive my car and have that super-slick feeling on my car's magnesium metallic finish. It's nice to know that the little dirt and rock particles that I may be kicking up are bouncing off my own personal "invisible force field" protecing my car's finish! lol
The products worked great, a guy who knew nothing at all about detailing, claying, sealants, this stuff, that stuff, or any of the products only 1 month ago managed to at least give his new car some nice protection from the elements and add some depth of finish. I can't say I'm ready to take out swirls and tough scratches just yet, but there's always hope. Of course, 1st day on the road with the new look and I had to get hit by a dual BD on the window and top of the car, but took it right off with water before it could eat through my nice coats!
I want to thank the sponsors of this site, and especially the moderators and active posters, guys like awd, Charles, Jared, Dwayne, Boss, Jngrbrdman, wifehatescar, rollman, and all the other "vets" for giving me suggestions and answering my and other newbies questions (and a special thanks to tomp for telling me about detailing and this site!). You guys made the process alot easier. Outside of last-second needs, I intend to get ALL my products from our sponsors here to do my part to help support the site. I already got several inquiries about where to get the products I used, esp. the PB and AIO stuff (folks like easy-to-take-off products since most don't want to spend the time I did this past weekend by doing every single step). So I suspect there's a few extra hundred bucks coming some of our sponsors way.
Again, guys, thanks alot. Hopefully, down the line, I can get reasonably informed and take up the slack for newbie questions and pull my own weight!
