I am having 10,000 of these printed up this week, and i just need to make sure that they are good enough to go into production, (and that spelling and grammer are correct, i am lacking on that more recently)

Here are the images

Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Mike

If you want me to be VERY picky, i dont like the line over your website on the front. Also the text is hard to read under diamond detailing on the front. Maybe get rid of the drop shadow on some of the text and leave the shadow where you want it to stand out a lot. Otherwise, it looks very nice!

The line was placed there by my designer, i believe to correct something with the acura's tire I dont like it either so... i will look into trashing it. As far as not being able to read the text, It is really crisp in the printed version, the jpg compression really made this flyer blurry and not as crisp as it really is. I will play with the shadow and see if it makes a difference on the print version.

Thanks for the suggestion

Every time I think I may have a step up on advertising - I get blown out of the water by Diamond Detailing. My wife is supposed to be taking care of my advertising, but she busy making curtains. Good Job!!!!

Rick, Thanks alot!

If you want some help creating a flyer, or anything, just let me know i would be more than happy to lend a hand. The great thing with these is that i am having 10,000 full color and coated printed for $380 including shipping. These i will be distributing around on my own to begin with, but once i determine if the design was a success (i compare response with the response of my other flyers), I will be having over 100,000 printed and inserted into the local newspaper (it costs more to distribute than it costs to print:nixweiss ) I figure that will book me up pretty good for the rest of the summer, and i hopefully wont have to do any more walking distribution. I would rather save the energy for actuall detailing. If the flyers are a success, I am confident enough that i can turn most of the customers into repeat clients, and then turn my marketing/advertising budget more toward purchasing small things like logo'd golf balls for customers, or sponsor a charity golf tournament. Something a little better than just flyers. I guess i will just have to sit back and see what happens.

I was just thinking the same thing! I just created a new flyer with a marketing twist to it (implemented the style and wording of a restaurant menu), and afterwards praised myself as a self-proclaimed genius........until I stumbled onto Mike and his pretty little flyers!!!!

:D :lol Just kidding!!

Awesome job on the flyers! Who was the designer?

i designed the back side, and a person that i stumbled into from a local car forum (www.ubrf.org) helped me to cut out the cars, and set up the general layout for the front side. He is a marketing/Graphic design student at the University of Buffalo (i think), and well, it was better than paying the local ad agency several hundred dollars to do it. This will cost me a day of hanging out drinking some beer, and cleaning up a car.

I like the sound of your flyer, I may be overlooking something if it is posted, but if not do you mind sharing your design? It sounds like something different that might be a real attention grabber, especially if paired with an offer for a gift certificate to a local "Hot Spot"

Sure. I just have to figure out how to get it on here. I don't have a scanner...just a digital camera. Is there another way?

BTW, you're right, it is definitely an attention grabber....i've pulled in more customer's in two weeks from that flyer than I have in the past two months with anything else!

Im really really really impressed with that flyer. If i had the extra money i would have went all out on my flyer as well to make it nice, it is nice but homemade not colored. I decided I would use colored paper like light green for spring and change the shades as the season goes on. anyways great flyer, and good luck!

Ill give my honest opinion as a professional graphic designer.....

Its very busy... my eye doesnt really know where to look. There is alot of stuff thrown all over, the text is not very readable, and the drop shadows are about to take over the world. Bevels and embossing went out of style about 5 years ago! It doesnt look like it was designed to be a print ad, as there is almost nothing vector in it.

I think you would make it alot better just by getting rid of the Gradient in the BG, toning down the dropshadows and bringing thier distance in some... and get rid of the bevel and embossing!

Bottom line, probably wont be as effective as it could be, it does the job, but i hope you didnt pay for it as it doesnt look very professional.

Let me know if you want something nice and professional, and Im sure we can work something out.

I sent this gentleman a PM, but i am not sure if i should take his suggestion, and let him re-work it, or if i should just leave it.

I am torn, because i expect a decent response for my $$, but if he can get me a better response for my $$ i will be much happier, even if it costs me a little extra....

Dilemas Dilemas...
