Old SSR1 and SSR2.5

So I haven`t really bought any compounds or polishes in a while. I have some older Poorboy`s SSR1 and SSR2.5 that was bought late 2011. The SSR1 seems still good, having the same toothpaste consistency that I originally remember. The 2.5 I don`t think fared so well, it`s pretty much like water (think Natty`s Liquid Blue). I used it a couple weeks ago to take out some light scuffing on the Jetta, but I think I slung more product than applied! Is it safe to say throw away the SSR2.5 and keep using the SSR1? Both have never been frozen. I have a couple year old bottle of Pro Polish, but I don`t think it`s going to touch the GTI`s hard paint.

Honestly, I`d probably replace both just to be sure I didn`t have to do something over again.

Just my .02

The SSRs rarely go completely bad .. the 2.5 has lost it`s thickeners but the polishing powders are still there .. you can probably feel the grit in your fingers ... some people actually like it thinner as it can be spread farther and can be worked longer using less product and ask for it that way but we tell them only age can do that .. if you feel uncomfortable, then toss it  ...
Pro Polish does need to be shaken ever so often and some people have found putting small stainless steel balls in the bottle help shake up old bottle sitting too long .. if it separates and does not go back together after vigorous shaking, then it has been subject to extreme cold or heat.

If you have not polished the GTI yet .. contact Dwayne .. he may have something you might want to try ;)

Good to know! I still have 3/4 of a bottle of the SS1. Thanks!

And is this Dewayne over at Poorboy`s you`re referring to?
