Okay, I get their point about the artifically low speed limit but this was a stupid..

IIRC, the cops in some states used to use those "rolling roadblocks". I can't remember whether it was to actually slow the traffic down or as a kind of protest to the federally imposed 55 MPH limit (here's how bad traffic would be snarled if people really drove 55).

I feel dumber after watching that movie...What morons - - If I was in my winter beater behind them and seen them smiling and laughing I would plow right through them :dance

They did that in Dallas. What another stupid stunt and a horrible waste of the police. One single cop car travelling in the center lane would have the same effect.

Good movie, imo.

I remember doing something similar with some friends at a local cruise.. we got honks, brights, profanities, fingers.. but then again we were all doing about 15mph down a 40mph road. :D

LOL, I got a kick out of that! I like the when the highway looks empty then all of a sudden, there is this perfectly spaced set of cars streaming nicely down the highway at 55mph.

I like how people get all bent out of shape and some actually drive on the shoulder to pass people doing the speed limit. I'm not excusing that act but someone was doing 55 in the "passing lane." Not illegal, but annoying.

I can only imagine that on the Parkway in Jersey!

Pretty funny.

I've seen CT cops do the road block thing, but I've also cruised off the tail of a trooper doing about 92 mph in a 50 zone and everyone else was doing the same thing :lol

If I was behind those kids, I'd be in the shoulder flying past...
