I think. Ok Fellow detailers, here goes.
Using this old thread I created (No this is not a duplicate)
http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-detailing/127640-why-happening.html
I along with Rasky, Accumulator, and Scott have all come up with a plan to help me with my polishing process at my shop.
Two factors, here (They will not change, please keep in mind)
-Rotary Only
-Cars are sanded with 2000 grit.
-Aftermarket clear (This is a body shop)
So I and one of the fellow members, (Rasky) agreed that 3M's Perfect it 3k has the same cut ability of m105, but with the M105 finishing down a ton better. (Rasky, if this isn't true, please correct me)
So with this being said, I decided to cut out 3m from the line up, and use
-M105- Burgundy Wool Pad
-M205- Yellow Meguiars Pad (Foam)
-UF-Light Blue Foam (3M)
We have agreed these 3 steps should be taken to aquire a perfect finish. (For my type of correction)
Now, I would like for the rest of you guys to critique and let me know what you think of the 3 step line up. (Please have first hand experience with the products/pads before commenting) The compounds will most likely NOT change, however pad selection is just as important) So mainly looking for good pads to use with m105 and m205.
Won't need anything for UF since I have the 3M pad already.
Thanks to all of you guys!
