this is exciting....

two day pass: check
Hilton hotel 17-20th: check
southwest flights from austin to ft Lauderdale and back: check (I`ll figure out how to get the one hour up 95 to the convention center later)
days off of work: not yet but who cares! lol

how about a roll call for who is going?
anyone staying at the Hilton there next to the center?

I look forward to meeting a lot of you people and having a much needed vacation (1st one in about 4 years).
 
I wanted to go but I`m on call for work that weekend and I`m moving into my new apartment on the 17th

best part is I almost paid for the room with one detail and the airfare was free from my credit card bonus points

more money to buy new products that I probably can`t even carry on to the flight, lol

I`m even considering renting a car for the first day there just to drive up and down the coast a little.
 
Was really hoping to make a road trip in the supercharged GTO but don`t think it`s happening. My in laws just sold there house there so I would have to front the bill for a hotel, gas, food etc. Unfortunately business has slowed down due to winter. Can`t risk the funds out of the business account. Maybe next year.

absolutely, logo contest is getting a winner picked today in fact

hell, I plan on wearing the shirts there!

and hopefully having a little swag to hand out (depending on what fits in my carry on)

would have loved to see that car in person

I wanted to drive but I couldn`t move my schedule around enough to take a full week off.

This is a `business` trip for me :)
 
I have my two day tickets and one night at the Hilton on the 18th ready. This will be my first detailing convention and the first convention I won`t have to fly to. Should be good!

Product Demos go on all weekend at most vendor`s booths.
We`ll see how it works out this year with the new venue but in years past Mike has done a bunch of classes that you could just walk right into - I`m sure we`ll have something similar this year :bigups

oh so you want to play with products .. as Paul said most vendors will have a demo area and in the past Mike P held classes a good part of the day ... new place and set up should make it interesting for everyone ...

btw you couldn`t out eat Ron`s son Stephen anyhow :notme:
